Motorola MING update

We’ve got confirmation now on some details regarding Motorola’s MING handset that is headed here to the states. In a weird twist of fate, the MING won’t run the popular JUIX operating system, but will in fact run Windows Mobile. The reason for the change, as we’ve been told, is that JUIX can not support 3G right now. Motorola has barely even started development on it actually. Another reason the Motorola RAZR 2 (V9) (that’s due to launch on AT&T) will run Synergy and not JUIX; no 3G love just yet.

Ming you are like a flower
    That only blooms
    When next to a window.
Yet you will die by windows.

jjlo, they suck battery life and are not in very many markets yet. -coming from someone atleast a year away from 3G.

That being said they should be rolling out the phones though.

this is a nice phone. I got to play around with it 2 years ago when I was in Sweden. I think it was O2 that was carrying the phone.

The Ming sucks plain and simple. I have used it before and it really shouldn’t even be called a PDA.

Wouldn’t it be smarter to have used Symbian UIQ? Why Windows? Just more proof of how stupid Motorola is and, I can’t get with their devices.

Even though I have had like three different models of Moto, and the only one that worked was my V505, this MING sounds and looks pretty freakin’ sick and who knows but my contract expires soon. Moto look out for me cuz I’m a watch for this.

Does it work on GSM, if so I’d be willing to trade my CU500, w/ a 1GB card, just a thought.

I CAN ATTEST THE MOTOMING RUNNING ON MOTO’S PROPRIETARY LINUX OS (EZX) IS THE BEST PHONE EVER, I EVEN LIKE IT MORE THAN THE IPHONE. I’VE BEEN USING AN IMPORTED LINUX MING ON CINGULAR>>AT&T FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. IT IS HIGHLY MODDABLE TOO. CHECK OUT MOTOROLAFANS.COM

THERE IS NO WAY THAT THIS PHONE WILL BE HALF AS GOOD WITH WINDOWS MOBILE, WHICH SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ANY DECENT PHONE. SO, IF THIS WINDOWS OS DOES GET CONFIRMED, WHICH I DOUBT BASED ON ITS CURRENT SUCCESS IN EUROPE AND ASIA, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY AN IMPORTED LINUX MING!!!

I have the Motorola Ming. The loud speaker (for rings/incoming calls or MP3) stopped working? I can listen via my head phones and hear people on the flip, but not put them on speaker or hear my music via speaker. What went wrong? I’ve checked the settings and all appears in order.
