While this list might seem long, it pales in comparison to Saturday and Sunday, where most Apple stores still had iPhones in stock. Does anyone think Apple is holding back to keep the hype going, or do you think they will blast these suckers out to stores as soon as they can, to try and sell as many as possible this first week? Hope this little iPhone inventory list helps, guys!

I can’t believe these things are still selling with all the bad reviews…Apple must be holding them back
I’m hearing from friend that they love them. my local store tells me that they are doing direct fulfillment (fedex) first before restocking alot of the stores.
Yes i think this is partly a marketing move but also it saves at&t some $$ as more people will outside of their stores.
BG, any update on your review??
ordered online on friday at 8pm pacific (8mb version). expected to ship fri 13. If anyone else ordered online and has ship dates, please post here this should give us some insight as to what they are doing with the stock (at least for online orders anyway)
Bad reviews btdown??? Oh.. you mean the bloggers that are paid by microsoft to rag on the iphone! (One of them said the iphone was just a windows mobile phone with a touch screen!)
Every REPUTABLE reviewer LOVES the iphone.. plus everyone who owns one.. so yes, they are selling like hotcakes and will continue to do so for quite some time. Yes the microsoft fanboys will continue to hack away at the iphone, but it’s that good that it will sell regardless.
I don’t think Apple is holding back on phones.. I think they are shipping them as quickly as they can make them.
Walked into AT&T store Sunday the 1st and ordered an 8gb….it shipped Standard Overnight ($14) via FedEx yesterday….should have it on Thursday (dang holiday)! The rep at AT&T said it would take at least 10 business days, so we were shocked to see that it shipped already.
My cousin hates his iPhone, cannot stand the slow speeds. I just gave him my Palm Treo 750 to use when he needs speed.
I know someone who works in the Tampa store. They got in 1500 and as of Monday, they still had 1200.
Of course it will sell as people are sheep and will stay brand loyal and others who believe the hype.
I have had plenty of WM5, WM6, Symbian & Palm OS phones in the past 2 years and I will take WM6 over everything.
The iPhone is not worth what they are charging nor is it even that cool. Apple is a bunch of over charging hippies. Personally I don’t care for window mobile phones either so I’m not a Microsoft advocate. The whole touch screen interface idea they have for it is def interesting and cool…..but not if you actually want to get things done. Why would I spend 200 on an iPod and then anothe 500 to have my phone be my iPod(that’s edge no less). I do agree it will keep selling and will be a popular choice for awhile…. Then again so was kriss kross.
Of course Apple is holding back for the hype. Apple over-hypes all of its products.
What ever! The people that I know that have the phone are very happy. Who cares what is in stock now. These will sell at some point at the same rate as other phones that people like. We will see another surge when the next gen iPhone hits the market. Hell I jump on board then!
People need to stop talking so much junk about the iphone! Everyone I know that picked one up, or better yet that can afford it, luvs it to death! Come on, the thing is light years ahead of anything else on the market. The fact that it uses edge should not be a deal breaker for anyone! All the treos with EVDO and all those 3G phones die half way through the day anyway. Remember, this is apple’s first dive into the mobile market. Why don’t we talk about the first motorola phone , or the first BlackBerry, or the first Palm!
The point, is apple is just showing what there capable of doing! The build quality is the best I ever felt on a phone, the screen is just plain unbelievable, and it’s features are great. Yea Yea, the next iphone will have 3G and push email, then what will you guys have to complain about? Most likely nothing! After some getting used to the first couple of days I have to say I luv my iphone!
I have an iPhone and i love it. the battery does run out pretty fast and EDGE works well in some areas but most of the time it runs slow. other than that runs great.
Somehow this always turns into a pissing contest.
These phones are beautiful, handle one for a couple of days and its pretty neat but as with all phones it has drawbacks as.
I’m sticking to my blackberry but definately keeping my eyes open for subsequent models that will offer more features that are prevalent with other smartphones.
55%. That’s Apple’s profit margin on an 8gb iphone according to CNN.
At end of close tonight. Apple stores are showing only 2 stores with iPhones now nationwide. Incredible for a 600 dollar phone. And they said the reason Ps3’s didn’t aren’t selling as briskly is because of the price. Well maybe they should hire Apple software engineers to design there User Interface and integrate it with Apple iTunes than it will be a winner also.
The iphone is the best phone on the market, if you cant see that, then head over to pearle vision and get some glasses.
Oh edge this…..
ordered mine from an AT&T store Friday night, and Fed Ex tells me delivery will be this Friday (7/6)
The phone is excellent…I have had quite a few..Qtek 9100, 8125, Jasjam, Black Jack, Motorola Q and this Iphone blows them away. Hands down.. ease of use, internet experience (yes..even on Edge compared to 3G with blackjack & Jasjam…It’s the browser that makes it better), photos, music, text messaging (I can e-mail a photo) and with the knowledge that Apple will do what so many other manufacture’s refuse to do.. Make it better with Software Updates in a timely fashion!!!
Keep resetting and plugging in in the charger on that WM5 3G device… I am enjoying my Iphone!
i have a BB 8800 and am considering the iphone as im on BIS with blackberry and dont see i would be losing anything with the iphone, olny gaining a great phone with an ipod..
waited forever for apple online order. gave up yesterday and went to att store, ordered at 2pm and delivered via fedex in less than 24 hours. Way faster than apple online ordering!
