Nissan’s new navi: “Don’t drink and drive”
One could applaud Nissan’s attempt to increase safety awareness and prevent drinking and driving, and in reality, their hearts (motors?) are in the right place. Take their latest version of the Nissan Carwings navigation system (Japan-only, so far), which, between 5:30 PM and 5:00 AM, displays the message "Do not drive after drinking!" In other hours, you’re greeted with "Let’s continue safe driving today." Again, credit for trying, but who honestly thinks that this would make an impact? What happened to not drinking and driving because it was a dumb idea?
Funny, of they inlcuded a breathalizer it might actually make this even better to use. Or maybe even an autopilot to drive me home after the great party.
