Xbox HD-DVD add-on selling like hot cakes
It looks like HD-DVD hasn’t taken its final gasp of air just yet. The HD-DVD add-on drive for Xbox 360 is selling like crazy, having pushed over 155,000 units since its introduction a few short months ago. The real insane part here is that’s over 150% of existing stand-alone HD-DVD player sales. Seems like Xbox owners are a value conscious bunch. Contrary to popular opinion, this puts American HD-DVD and Blu-ray player sales at a dead heat, with both formats moving roughly 255,000 units. Blockbuster’s recent announcement will certainly have a negative impact on HD-DVD media and player sales, but the war isn’t over just yet.

Companies will and do switch when they see a higher demand for a product from which they can make a profit, so as for BB they might switch or add HD in the end.

With Blockbuster pulling the plug on HDDVD any momentum softie was getting is null and void. But looks like a great paper weight though.

I even bought one and I barely play my boyfriend’s Xbox 360 but it is really nice to watch on a 1080p LCD TV. Worth it in my book!

So it’s worth it? ….

Definately worth it in my opinion. I have it connected to my xbox 360 elite and with the hdmi it looks even better than through the component cables. Best money I ever spent. (Next to the $600 I’m going to spend on the iPhone
