Google Phone coming to Europe

Is that a rebranded LG Chocolate we see? Not exactly, but it looks pretty darn close. The LG KU-580 is about as close to a Google Phone as we’re going to get for the time being, having been announced and launched by both companies. It features an on board suite of Google-based apps, including GMail, Google Maps, and Google Search. On the hardware side you’ll get a rear facing 2 megapixel camera, complemented by a front facing VGA shooter, HSDPA connectivity, an FM radio, and an MP3 player, all sitting beneath a 2" widescreen LCD. It looks pretty damn good to us. This isn’t the first time that Google has bundled a series of apps with a mobile phone, but it does appear to be one of the most polished efforts to date. The bad news, at least for us, is that this is a Europe-only affair. The KU-850 is currently available from Vodafone in Italy and France, with more countries on the way.

This is nice. Not big on the color, the whole chocolate thing got old quick. Maybe it can get sweeter by adding google.

I personally this that this is a real stupid idea. The Google phone had a real chance of being a big seller. I mean this is JUST a chocolate with Google web apps on it. No two ways about it…

(I know its not actually a chocolate but im saying the styling)
