Sidekick to get MySpace application
We’ve uncovered T-Mobile’s MySpace plans for its Sidekick devices. The Sidekick MySpace application will allow users to edit their profiles, upload pictures from their device, read/send messages, post comments, and much more. The program, which will be available from the Sidekick catalog, will keep you logged in constantly, notifying you immediately of any new comments, friend requests, and messages. You can also customize the alerts and notifications. The screenshots look pretty dope, with a clean interface that gives you immediate access to the most important information. The app also indicates how many of your friends are online at any given time, a feature that’s exclusive to the Sidekick interface. Current Sidekick 3 and iD owners will be able to install this sometime in the near future. It will come as standard fare on the upcoming Sidekick Zante. No word yet on exactly when it’s dropping, but given the polished nature of T-Mobile’s support documentation, we have a hunch it might be sooner than you’d think. Well this is nice, we can see this being very useful in keeping the sidekick in the hands of teens and all the likes who use MySpace as their webpage. Very nice on Dangers side for letting other companies develop 3rd party aps for them.

hmm.. did BGR ruin plans for a surprise launch or is this a cute way for Tmo to draw attention to a dieing fad device by putting the page up and then quickly taking it down?

Too bad its exclusive to this device. Maybe someone will be able to extract it. Currently the only Java J2ME based Myspace Mobile app I could find is from Vcell which does a good job.

Ahh what is the world comming to. I have a myspace and go on myspace every weekend but to be honest after a while it gets really really boring. I don’t see why myspace is like becomming the new “sms” way of messaging. Myspace should just be an online resource to talk to friends. I don’t think it should be on cell phones come on people instead of leaving a comment why don’t you actually call the person…
im thinking the sidekick myspace app might come out today the 20th because right now on myspace there was a T-Mobile add for a Sidekick sponsored concert on MySpace. i dunno maybe

T-Mobile is great to an extent but damn they are so limiting…. It’s like you get excited, for nothing. They and every other mobile company out there needs to provide more and for less… I’m tired…
Can I sign in to my account on a sidekick 2?
I guess that’s pretty cool… it’s just that on a sidekick, you can already go to myspace on the web browser and upload pics and do comments and all that stuff. But If this is something that would make it faster, than I guess it’s cool. I don’t see the big deal though.
Also, You can just get the notifications by tmail. That’s what I have done…

I was suprised when i looked at my phone noticed the “Myspace Application” It is actually fast and not slow like it would be to use the internet on the SK I Love it and Now I wont ever be off my SK. T-Mobile is the best indeed!

Its an app that you have to pay for now… myspace changed their layout so you can’t sign in on your sidekick and pretty much have to pay to use myspace… but I thought you’d never have to pay to use myspace… guess tom and tmo have different plans

I have a problem, I have a sidekick 08 and just got the myspace app a couple hours ago, it installed fine but won’t let me log in. It just has the loading bar at the bottom that doesn’t go away. Has anybody else had this problem, or can anyone help me?
Ps. I’ve already tried restarting my phone and waiting for a while. Nothing different happens.
