i’ve heard from the grape vine (also known as the head of RIM of the western division) that the pearl 2 will be released for t-mobile in mid April. They keep getting set backs parts of the design which is why its taking so long. Cant wait!

Why do you need a gps in your phone? Google maps work fine and are free. GPS needs to be on a visable screen, bigger than any phone on market.

If you want GPS on the phone why not just get it through Garmin. They have an application available just for smart phones that will give you great navigation options as if you actually owned one of their auto units. See for yourself http://www8.garmin.com/mobile/mobilext/

Okay, so I’ve been with Alltel since ‘99, & I don’t plan to change that because I love everything about them….except for the phones. I think it’s well know that they’re the last to get all the awsome phones, if they ever do at all! While this problem has greatly improved over the last couple of years, it’s not resolved. So my question is, WILL Alltel get the Pearl 2? & if they do, which color option(s) will they have (b/c they’re still having MAJOR problems in this department!!)? Thanks for your input!

I am pretty sure that ATT will get both of these phones, we already have the BB 8310 comes in dark grey and candy apple red. Havn’t heard about the Pearl 2 yet, they have wifi, and ATT does do home wifi as well. Cool stuff.

regarding the AT&T release of the Pearl 2, I’ve learned from reading various other forums, that it will be released Thanksgiving. Can’t confirm, but I’m definitely gonna sneak in the store to play with it. That should hold me over until the T-Mobile’s release! Hope this helps, Jen.

I’m getting it! I’m waiting! I don’t care what it DOESN’T have, I’m just happy the camera quality has improved tremendously. I own the Pearl (8100). I questioned a T-Mobile Corporate Store manager. He (reluctantly) told me they’re not coming until February, 2008. I was on my way to buy the Curve today, but this is definitely worth the wait!!!!
