Another question – is this Jivetalk just for instant messaging? Or does with work with your text messaging too? And if it does – does it condense the conversations all the way down to yoru contact?

i have the blackberry curve 8320 and i tried to download jivetalk to my phone.i did like the website says but when i try to add it to the phone it says NO ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS DESIGNED FOR YOUR DEVICE WERE FOUND.whats wrongwith it.anybody knows??

I have a question about this on the iphone, using jivetalk on the iphone, can I send a message to someones cell phone, as in, I add a contact in jivetalk, add their cell number, and send them a message, and they will get it as a text, or will they need jivetalk?

i work for a big software company that just recently standardized on Jabber’s MomentIM instant messaging. they have created an internal server and specific port for our internal im. will jivetalk work with specs like: server -> im.xxxxx.com + port 5223 (i x’d the domain name for security purposes). any insight would be great.

I’ve been wanting a curve for so long, but I’ve been stuck with my sk3. But I finally gave up and got the curve… then sadly I was VERY disappointed with their aim… until JIVETALK that is!!!!!!!

Yep. Got over 200 buddies in my MSN list, I can see all of them on my BlackBerry.

There’s been quite a few third party clients for BlackBerry for a while now… I’ve had 200 buddies on my BlackBerry since yeaar 2004 when VeriChat did it well, but VeriChat got bought out by Nokia, and then IM+ was the one to get (Version 4), and now JiveTalk is the winner.

i have one question, i have 200 buddies on my aim list, blackberry only allows you to see 30 of them, with jive talk can you see all of your buddies from each of the messaging services on your blackberry like you can on the sidekick, thats the one thing thats stopping me from going on the blackberry side

I have Jive talk (BEE JIVE) in my iPhone, and disappear the Buddies list….Now I can’t to see if my friends are on line or off line.
Please, I need to know how I can add again the Buddies list in my iPhone.

This program is awesome!!! I was a Sidekick user before buying my Blackberry, so I was accustomed to Danger’s superb messaging apps. I was so disappointed with RIM’s client that I tried out every 3rd party chat program available for the Pearl and found some major flaw or area of lacking in each one of them. I even considered selling the BB and buying a new Sidekick 3. Lo and behold, I discovered this amazing program and have changed my mind.
This program manages to combine all of the features I want and need. I’m using every service except Jabber and it’s absolutely perfect!! It’s beyond great and I highly recommend it!!

I installed it on the fly this weekend when I could not get MSN Live Messenger to connect on my laptop. (I only use MSN because my group uses it, otherwise, bleah!)

With Jive Talk, I got on Yahoo and MSN messengers in a matter of seconds. It integrates completely with your notification profiles, allowing you complete customization. It evens brings in your group settings from each IM service.

In short, I dig it. I now only need to decide which license to buy: device or user.

I use jive talk on my blackberry and it pretty much the best one I could find for aim now I have another reason to buy it now. Looks pretty neat thanks BG.

I started early in the beta with JiveTalk too and I can definitely say that JiveTalk is awesome. The support is excellent and they have done a great job of including requested features. These guys are top notch!

I’ve been with these guys since the beginning. One of the very first beta testers. I cannot be more impressed with a company that has done what an actual beta test should do. Listen to their user base and execute EVERYTHING that has been ask for. Top notch support and A+++++++ product! I believe it surpasses the “other” more expensive IM client by far! GO JiveTalk!!

I swear by this program. I had been using an sk3 and bb for a while since the bb just wasn’t cutting it for mobile messaging and now I am down to just one phone (bb). with the addition of file transfer and soon to come chatroom and group IM features, it easily blows any messenger client out of the water.

notice how IM+ has now scrambled to release a new version? hehe, go JT.

Great product indeed. Simple interface and very stable on a multitude of different RIM OS’. The file transfer capability makes it even more usefull.
