Samsung UpStage Turns Red in the Face

The Sprint Samsung UpStage that was meant to redefine the flip, was announced yesterday in a new color. The UpStage features the same specs as before, just more, mmm, red. June 18th is the official launch date, but we don’t expect anyone lining up overnight to get their hands on this newly colored phone. This isn’t a phone for everyone, because the novelty wears off after about an hour of flipping it over constantly. Don’t look at us when you get frustrated that you can’t even view text messages on the phone side. They could of at least included an accelerometer. Right, guys? The price is still $99 with a 2-year contract along with a $50 service credit.

I thought I wanted this phone but, a friend of mine purchased this phone and I hated it after a few minutes. The good part is still the battery life provided by the battery case.

I never liked it and now in red makes it even less important.

Can you view text messages on the music side? Or are you just screwed?

I love the form factor of these phones but the features leave a lot to be desired. Just give me a CDMA phone this size (or smaller) that just does calls and text messaging and it will sell like crazy.

You can view text on both sides duh……when you are on the phone side you will scroll down while you read (like you do when you are on a web page)or you can flip it and see it in big form on the other side you do not have to be extra smart to figure that one out guys…. when you learn to use this phone you will love it butt you do have to learn to use it first before you play with it for 5 minutes then give a comment about it…..I love it and it is very functional
