$28,000. thats what ken told me when i asked what my payment was for my next cycle. i thought it was a prank but it looks like i just bought a car from a wireless company. i dont know how rediculous i could have been to think unlimited meant what it did. they got me bad. i wish i could get them back in some way but i guess i am at fault.

How many times has this site really misled you… I will wait it hasn’t happened… If you read Verizon’s data policy it says exactly what he stated… minus the exact limit which probably is there to but once I saw the you could be flagged for over usage I took mine back…

Wow, I never knew they had a limit for their unlimited data plan. I was consider going to Verizon because of their wide coverage in my area but after this forget it. That’s just shady.

This is not true. According to Verizon’s press spokesperson Jeff Nelson, the monthly limit is staying at 5 GB.

I had AT&T [The First AT&T], and had good coverage. Then they went Cingular, and coverage started to degrade [in my area]. Tried new phones, none of which worked. Dumped them, went to TMO and now have 5 bars all the time. What’s weird is that Cing/AT&T and TMO are supposedly on the same type of network, so I have no idea why Cing/AT&T got worse…odd.

Oh well…whatever works for you is what I always say. That, and

Verizon is the worst. Live on an island within New York City limits (City Island) that has no network coverage on VZW. You would think that they would inform a customer of no-coverage before letting them sign a contract… But no, they didn’t.

Finally cancelled their service without a fee (after faxing them proof of my residency). Gave my Moto Q to my sister who I put on a limited data plan (5mb I think). Downloaded the DST patch for the Q after which I received a bill for over $900 in data overage charges. Argued and argued with them until finally they admitted that the DST patch caused the overage aNd thus they waved the fee. Nevertheless, Verizon is absolutley outragous in their Cust Serv and Pricing. I’m with AT&T now and (believe it or not) love their coverage and cust serv. Down with VZW!

Has this info been verified anywhere? I checked Verizon’s website and the terms are still 5GB. I also checked with my Verizon press contact who hadn’t heard anything about it.

Victor…they probably looked up the word unlimited on Wikipedia and decided to redefine it there since most young people use that as their “reliable source of information”.

I’m so glad I’m not with Verizon. AT&T might not have the super speedy networks, but at least they don’t cap their customers when it says unlimited. I’ve had a few issues with AT&T billing but after I’ve made my case, they’ve been very good about crediting my account. Their service is ROCK SOLID out where I live in CA.

Uhhh, this sounds like they are changing the contract, which in turns gives every customer a chance to get out of that same contract WITHOUT penalties or fees.

That of course frees you up to buy an iPhone in 3 weeks…..
