AT&T BlackBerry Curve Unboxing
Yes, we all knew this day would come sooner or later. For everyone out there that has not been able to locate one, keep trying! There is no reason to believe there will be a short supply of the Curve, as AT&T has ordered a ton of these. From everything I’ve been told, stores should be receiving double shipments in the coming days which should help calm some of the frenzy. Someone better help us when the Apple iPhone is released though. Any volunteer medics out there that want to standby outside AT&T and Apple stores on launch day for us? Mmm hmm. We give the BlackBerry Curve, 4.5 BGs. Click over for the full unboxing effect!

I sooooooooooo want one of these

Let me tell you this is like electronics porn. I love these unboxings. But in all seriousness I cannot give a high enough recommendation for this phone. It really is the greatest blackberry yet and I had the blackberry 8800 before this. I miss the GPS but its just so small its worth it. Keyboard rocks and camera is off the hook. Definately suggest anyone who can pick it up does.

it doesn’t come with a holster or case?

Makes me want to jump ship from Verizon.

is there a reason this comes with no holster/case? pretty cheap out move for a new release, especially seeing the holster profile is one of the nicest bb features.
I understand this is a consumer device but geez.. throw us a bone? sorry we’re not the captain’s of industry, but a perk or two would be nice.

I’m in love! B.E.A.utiful My friend told me he’s going to get the iPhone since he has a hookup at a Cingular store. What an a$$h013! Could’ve told me yesterday he had the hookup so I didn’t have to wait a day to get this phone. Once he gets the iPhone, I’ll check it out and see what’s its all about.

Hey did anybody hear about this crock, where they cant sell the Curve’s at full retail because of those eBay scalper morons. God I hate them. Anyone who work inside of Cingular can verify this? Boy Genius, can you verify?

I already bought one at full retail…if they wont sell to you its most likely because that store/employees are reserving them for new activations

I think there is no holster since it is supposed to be small enough to put your pocket without looking obscene.
ANYWAYS…Who would want the RIM holster anyway. I call it the “Eject-a-clip.” Your BB does not just spontaniously falls out but actually shoots a foot or two from you. It has just enough hang time for someone to watch you go, “OH NO! (crack) @#$#@!@.”
SEIDIOonline.com Ironclad belt clips. My 8700 has been happy ever after.

Folks,
why are people having such a hard time finding one? If you can wait a dang minute, and be patient, just call Cingular and order one–I ordered mine yesterday, and it will be here Monday.

is the EDGE data painful?
Edge data is not that bad. The browser on it does a good job of compression. The difference is about like dsl vs cable internet. Yeah cable is faster but neither is too slow.

I find it funny how cingular/at&t employees and customer service reps didn’t know anything about this phone. I’ve been to four places around the Boston Area and every employee I speak to says the same thing, “we got a dummy one for display, but have no idea when we’re getting a shipment.” I WANT MY CURVE!

Got mine today! forget about goin from store to store, ordered it from customer sales through at&t. What a pleasant buy, so easy! I’m givin up goin to the stores for anything after this phone launch, I got in touch with the coolest rep over the phone by chance. Took his ex# and I’m never lookin back! Forget the stores, these are the same people that told us the Curve won’t launch untill the end of July! Duh!!!

EDGE connection is good enough on a blackberry. Its not like it has a WONDERFUL browser that just needs that WiFi, but im sure when it comes out ill be right on the bandwagon for “Papa Bear”
