Blackberry Curve on AT&T’s site…sorta
.jpg)
There…can you see it? It’s the light at the end of the tunnel. Usually a good sign, AT&T is finally teasing their Curve on their Business/Premier site. They did the same thing with the BlackBerry 8800, and then proceeded to release it about a week or so later. Does that bode well for the rumored potential 5/25 (tomorrow) release? It is anyone’s guess. However, it still looks like a release prior to the other-rumored June 13th date is inevitable. Not to mention that it doesn’t seem likely that AT&T would release the Curve AND the iPhone so close together.

T-Mo needs to step their game up and release this at the same time as AT&T. Im going insane…
Yeah, yeah, so where’s this new device you promised?
Thx.
Yesss finally some feedback on the release date. Im still crossing my fingers for tomorrow..who knowns…
Even more interesting is that when you do enter an email address to sign up to be notified of the 8300’s release, you get the following message:
“Your email address was successfully submitted. Watch your inbox for updates about the launch of the Option GT Max 3.6 Express.”
Well done, AT&T!
That’s nice and all but I wanna see the link to order the phone. I’ve seen enough pics and read enough specs about this phone…I want the phone!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Dear Boy Genius -
We come to you for answers. Not for phrases like, “It is anyone’s guess.” Do you think other geniuses, like Einstein, ever said that?
Please, give us answers – release dates – and keep your genius credibility. Otherwise you’ll have to rename the site The Boy Relatively Smart Report.
Until then keep the nice work, eh?
Nice, now next inline is the 8820, the one device that might actually make me drop my 8700, although since I found the extended battery for mine, it might take a little more convincing. But thanks for the update.
I don’t find it on the premier site.
Not on Premier yet. Damn it.
Come on BG, you know! Show us
The light, tomorrow or not?
This is good news. We are getting warmer.
I’d have to guess that a release tomorrow is highly unlikely. Would they really insert a notification e-mail system if they knew they were going to notify us one day later?
GAWSH!!!!! TMO!!!! HURRY!!!! Watch I crack and just go to AT&T HAHAH nah I won’t do that BYE BYE SPRINT!!!!!
Not a chance in hell this thing drops tomorrow (sorry BG). We would have already seen posts from all over the country from those who stumbled upon this alleged first shipment on Wednesday or today for a Friday debut with select retail stores willing to sell the 8300 before Friday. Just like what happened with the 8800. I just walked in to my local Cingular/At&t store and asked about the 8300. The 2 salespeople looked at me like i was from outer space! If everyone thought At&t/Cingular took deserved heat for their trainwreck of a release of the Pearl, just wait till they release the Curve and the iphone within days of one another. What a mess.
T-mobile Germany already has the Curve…Why is the U.S. so behind in the game?????
I have only found 1 person working in a Cingular store who had the faintest inkling of a clue about ANYTHING!! I could not understand their lack of knowledge @ their own product! They are the most uninformed sales team in the history of retail!
Europe is flooded with Curve’s, and we get a picture on the AT&T business site! This is getting stupid already. Wake up AT&T!
Ok i hit email notification and I get this message.
“Your email address was successfully submitted. Watch your inbox for updates about the launch of the Option GT Max 3.6 Express.”
DOH! I have been duped into signing for the AT&T spam machine.
You have to figure that AT&T/Cingy, TMO, and other sales people are nothing more than entry level employees, at least in the malls, and things. I mean they’re one level above a Burger King cashier, not that there’s anything wrong with that. I mean every time I’ve walked into a Cingular store, I only see pimple faced teens standing around playing with the new phones. If you ask about specific features, they say…”It has really cool texting features”…
I don’t know about where you are but my TMO store has these pretty good looking young women who can talk geeky things about bluetooth headsets and phones. Please work switch to TMO.
Yeah, some have pretty good looking girls. But most are guys. :O(
Probably for the best. I’d probably buy more than I need! :O) I’ll have a BB8800 and some Coin Slot please! :O/
That’s why you don’t go to Mall Kiosk or In Mall (insert word I’m looking for here). They know CRAP! Go to Corporate Dealers. . . They still act like they know anything about the Curve, one dude approched me because I was asking a sales rep too many questions, then he said we don’t know haha(TMo).
Associates at Customer Care don’t know anything that isn’t on their comp. I like how I got way off track ~SOUNDS HELLA RANDOM WOOOOOO~ Back to why I start to post Ask Corporate Dealers about Features. They Know. . .
O Yea, They Know. . .
Not what I wish to know tho. . .
O Yea, It’s a requirement To Be Hawt if your a Female working in the Cell Phone Business I believe haha cuz all the ones here are. . . but it’s like 87 Guyz and 3 Girls that work there. . .
Not to burst anyone’s bubbly but I have had that page bookmarked for about a week now. The IPhone has had a similar info page for months (since the day it was announced actually) and the phone is still not here, although at least it was made clear that the delivery won’t be till June. So, no promises about releases just because of that email page.
Just a clever way for them to gauge interest and get your info for free for future mailings…. Kath
My T-mobile rep told me originally that the curve was going to be a t-mobile exclusive. Now he has told me that in fact At&t will release it exclusively first. He also said that the T-mobile curve will have wifi and will run on the “t-mobile at home network.” (UMA)
Beetle:
If that’s true, the TMO won’t see the Curve until Mid-July at the earliest! It’s a good 30 – 45 day delay when an exclusive is released. Glad I didn’t wait…I NEED MY BB FIX!!!
