BlackBerry Curve launch party
Word on the street is that RIM and AT&T are holding a launch party for the BlackBerry Curve on June 8th in New York City. Best believe BGR will be in attendance! In addition, multiple sources have confirmed what we suspected — AT&T is really trying to get the BlackBerry Curve out the door this month. Nothing is set in stone, but I think we can all agree that it is in everyone’s best interest to get this out sooner than later. Was that just not enough BlackBerry info for today? Oh whatever, fine guys! The BlackBerry 8120 we unearthed, will in fact be dubbed the BlackBerry Pearl 2. Until next time, your good friend BG.
Just stopped by my Cingular store and was told by the manager that he expected to have the Curve today but was told that shipment is being delayed one week. he is hopeful to have it by Thursday, 5/31.
I also heard that, my guy promised me by the end of the month or June one!
The Boy Genius is a fraud! It is Friday…and NO Curve in site. I hate it when people start bad rumors! He must work for the Enquirer.

I think the only one that knows for sure is RIM, they pull the strings. The business rep we use said sometime between June 1st and 15th. With a big “Maybe”. My two cents.
I too would like the 8300 before I’m told old to use it.
Hey guys I think I’m getting weak! This push back is ridiculous! My rationale was the sooner it comes out on cingular the sooner it’ll b released on TMO….I considering just saying f the whole curve idea and getting the Pearl! >( but that suretype makes me uneasy! Can anyone tell me if suretype is really as much of a pain as it seems? Thanx…any feedback is greatly appreciated!
It’s not as horrible as people say, but I think I would still wait for the curve. It will only be a few more weeks and our itch will be scratched.
I went to the Cingular/At&t store over lunch today and they had the Curve!! I quickly snatched it up. They only had a few left. Very awesome. Let the games begin.

Chris, you have made it this far, don’t give up now. Suretype sucks, especially if your emails pertain to anything technical-medical engineering, etc. it doesn’t recognize many of the commonly used terms or abbreviations.
Chris, if you want the Pearl and don’t want/need to bells and whistles (and stress of waiting like the rest of us) for the Curve, get it. Just disable the Suretype by holding down (*) and type away.
I’m holding onto the awesome T-Mobile 8800, guys and dolls. It looks cooler than the Curve/8300, plus has a GPS!
I’m holding my AT&T 8300 Curve and I took back my 8800 piece of junk. Curve is soooo much better. You will be sorry you bought the 8800 and didn’t wait! I have had my Curve over the weekend and it totally rocks!
When did AT&T release the 8300 “Curve”?

I spoke to a BlackBerry rep from T-mobile and i asked her if Tmobile will release the BB Curve 8300 and she said “unofficially, yes” Then she added that she is waiting for that one as well…
I cant wait!!! i have the BB 8800 but depending on the price i might exchange for the Curve…
Can someone explain the whole hype around the blackberry curve. I was looking at the cnet review and they were saying that the 8800 has more functionality then the curve. So why is everybody going crazy for it? Not hating or anything just wondering why?

Now for the rest of us BB thirst buckets, I say when the hell is this thing coming to T-mobile!?! I do c on the German T-mobile site tht its expected in June, but what about for the U.S. Does anyone know how long the gap is between the release of German TMo and US tmo…hopefully it won’t be much longer!

Ok for those of us waiting 4 the curve TMO realease, I heard it won’t b released until August 28th…
I hope that is incorrect! BRG would u please shed some light on this!?! I went to a cell phone retailer and he has the cingular curve, and I was sooo tempted to swtich until he explained that the IM service is only blackberry (the deal breaker for me), he sd the TMO is expected to have WiFi and 3rd prty iming along w/ the other features, and he sd TMO has the better blckbrry montly plans! Was he right please shed some light!?! Thanx!
