BlackBerry Curve launch party

Word on the street is that RIM and AT&T are holding a launch party for the BlackBerry Curve on June 8th in New York City. Best believe BGR will be in attendance! In addition, multiple sources have confirmed what we suspected — AT&T is really trying to get the BlackBerry Curve out the door this month. Nothing is set in stone, but I think we can all agree that it is in everyone’s best interest to get this out sooner than later. Was that just not enough BlackBerry info for today? Oh whatever, fine guys! The BlackBerry 8120 we unearthed, will in fact be dubbed the BlackBerry Pearl 2. Until next time, your good friend BG.

Cingular got the blackberry curve IN STORE today. 5-31-07. They dont even have displays set up yet, because they got them today and werent expecting them until next week. I just viewed it today and it is awesome BUT…Im not sure I want the phone bad enough to go with Cingular. BTW….T-mobile apparently will have the CURVE in stores next month, which means in about two weeks.
I am not sure if any of you have heard the latest, but TMO is getting bought by AT&T!! My sister works for TMO and that is what they are all saying. She said that in about a year, all things will be switched over to AT&T once the aquisition is completed. She also told me that if I was going to get a phone in the next 6 months, I am sad to say, it should probably be with AT&T (Cingular) since support will be going down the tubes at TMO will begin to thin out support for TMO plans. This stinks….
Hi Lisa – where did you see it?
thanks!
Hi Rey –
Can I get one today, what store are you in?
thx
I also heard about the T-Moblie aquisition. It is crazy wrong, but eat or get eaten in the phone market I guess. Any thoughts from your sister when this is suppose to happen? I have a T-Mobile plan now, but will be switching to AT&T because it just stinks when these happen and support dries up, yet your stuck in the old plan.
i assure you that tmobile is not being acquired and will have the 8300 with wifi by the end of july. if you havent noticed; tmobile is launching a “hotspots” at home product that will enable users to make free unlimited calling from hotspot locations including your home (if purchasing a $40 router). fret not tmobile people, you have the best products and service in the industry. it may take a little longer but well worth the wait.
I have had the Curve for 3 days now. This is my first BlackBerry and so far I have enjoyed it. I am usually a smaller phone type person, but the Curve is light weight and thin, so I can put up with the extra width. I am not much on texting either, but I like the QWERTY keyboard. This is a very nice phone. If you are thinking of getting one, and you want a QWERTY keyboard, this is the one.
