Samsung Creates 8GB MicroSD
It’s been some time now that the 4GB MicroSD card has been out, yet it hasn’t caught on due to its high price, and you might have to hit the bodega underneath the subway on the corner to find one. Samsung has now developed the 8GB version. Anyone worried about the iPhone? This thing has some impressive speeds as well at 16MB/s reads and 6MB/s writes. If you lookin’ to store a ton of files then consider yourself saved because this bad mama jama hold 2,000 MP3 music files, 4,000 digital photos, or approximately 5 DVD-quality movies. Expect it mid-2008, well over a year from now, but at least it will give the time for flash memory to go down in price.

I was not aware that the 4GB MicroSD was available for purchase yet. Where can I/anyone buy one?
I wonder the price tag. . . I doubt I will really need it, but it sounds so perfect. . . I must have it. . .
Um, before you drop money on one of those 4GB MicroSd cards, make sure your phone/device supports it. Specifically “SDHC” (chances are very good that your device won’t support it since very few devices out now actually advertize it.)
