iMuffs provide an updated wireless iPod experience

iMuffs. Horrible name, intriguing product. If you can somehow manage to get past what might be one of the worst product titles in recent history, you’ll find yourself a set of wireless iPod headphone with an attractive feature set and an equally attractive exterior. These have been around for a bit, but a recent facelift and update provides compatibility for new iPods and onboard Bluetooth 2.0. The ’round the back headphones come complete with a dock connector equipped Bluetooth dongle. Simply plug the dongle into your iPod nano or 5th Gen iPod Video, flip the power switch on the headphones, press play, and rock out from up to 30 feet away from you MP3 player. It’s that simple. We swear. The iMuffs have basic play controls attached to the right earphone, functionally providing you with a wireless iPod remote. Should cost you between $160 and $180 depending on your iPod model.

These look a lot like the now discontinued Logitech wirless ipod headphones.
I bought a pair of those, and paired it with my phone instead of the ipod transmitter. Works great, controls on the ear for AVRCP just like this one.
Best part, since the Logitechs have been around for a long time (and now discontinued for more, um, durable models…), you can get them for under $40. I got mine for $25.
And yes, they sound AWESOME.
When I hear “iMuff”, I don’t think of headphones.
These look great, but where will I put my Nike+iPod dongle?
