For one- are you kidding me? (Rich says the front screen’s too big?) This phone looks amazing. They did a great job redesigning the outside screen. IMO, one of the best-looking phones out there. It’s a great idea to redesign the RAZR.

Of course, as said, Verizon will most likely kill it, as its predecessor. But, there are always SEEM edits :p

I used to have a razr and i thought it was extremly boring. When i first got it i was extremly excited thinking it would be cool to have a thin phone. After getting used to the phone i realized the razr had almost no good features it was pretty plain interface wise. And the ring tones that came with the phone were generic. After realizing why i bought the phone i realized that i bought the phone because of all the hype! It seems like people buy razrs now because they look cool and because everybody has one. And the fact that motorola releases razrs in different colors still doesn’t make a difference to me.. A razr is still a razr no matter what color. I think releasing a RAZR2 is a bad idea why? well just because everybody has a razr! and also because i think the razr2 will be a little late on technology just like the razr was.

As I think about it, I do not need music players on my phone. That is just one more thing to drain the battery. Talk time is king to me. If I want to hear music I will take a iPod or some MP# player. For me the phone should have a claendar that syncs with Outlook or Lotus Notes. It keeps my contacts and addresses. If it can do email fine but that is not a huge need for me.

tactile feedback on the screen is pretty kewl.
So is double screens.

I hear Apple is working on (patenting) double screens as well.

I think Microsoft could really do some cool stuff with Zunes this year, but they need to get some sack to do it. What they need to do, is forget about making cellphone+music-player, and concentrate on making a music-player + Wifi-only-phone. If the cell+Wifi is done, they can also add the ability for it to function as a wireless remote for Vista/Xbox– now THAT would be something worth owning–especially when combined with subscription music and subscription videos. All MS has to do, is not fall into the trap of working with cellphone companies for the Zune. This shouldn’t be hard, since MS shouldn’t want to compete with the handset manufacturers licensing their handset OSs.

Just when you thought that motorola couldn’t make an uglier phone.. the RAZR 2 pops up. The external screen is just .2 inches smaller than the internal screen!

I think it was dumb for them to make a Razr2. I think the Rizr line should’ve replaced the Razr with the many versions of the Razr. It should just be a new line, like the Mezr. Anything denoting they are a company seeking a new fresh direction!
