The $34,000 luxury gadget ripoff

Ever wonder what $34,000 in home electronics buys you these days? Wonder no more, as MileHighAutomation has you covered. Before we delve into the specifics, let’s get two things straight. Point #1: $34,000 is a lot to spend on gadgets of any size shape or origin, especially sight unseen, which leads me to Point #2. This particular bundle is currently available through eBay, so I think it’s fair to assume that it’s targeted at a slightly less well informed set than your average BGR reader. That being said, it does include some pretty interesting stuff. $34 G’s, or $33,999 if you’re being specific, means that MileHighAutomation will come to your home and install, among other things, 4 video touch screens, a 14-zone audio system, a "Smart Media" server to upload all of your physical CDs, 6 security cameras, 6 thermostats, "computer control software," all orchestrated by an Omni Pro II Home Automation Controller. This all sounds fine, but we’re guessing that the video touch screens aren’t going to hold a candle to your average Plasma screen, and each of the "features" includes components from dubiously anonymous sources. If you’re looking for an all in one solution, there are better places to go, but you’ve got to hand it to MileHighAutomation for switching things up on us and taking the eBay route. Buy at your own risk or, better yet, don’t buy at all.

Thanks for taking the time to explore our home automation packages. I would like to point out a couple corrections to your post.
1. We don’t actually install the systems. We provide hardware, system design, programming, and support. Installation is done by the homeowner or a sub-contractor they hire.
2. Our $34k system is one of our most expensive packages. We offer complete home automation packages for as little as $3,500.
3. Our eBay posting is an advertisment, nothing more. It apparently worked as it caught your attention. We post several packages on eBay in hopes of driving traffic to our website. While a client could purchase one of our systems on eBay, it has never happened before. Most sales takes weeks if not months of communication, system design, and answering questions.
4. While $34k is a lot of money, in the home automation world this package is a steel for what it provides. We have had dozens of clients come to us saying they were just quoted $250,000 for a home automation system. We can typically match that same system for around $40,000-$50,000. Again, that’s a good deal of money, but consider the fact that you could be saving upwards of $200,000.
For more information on what we offer I would encourage you to visit our website at http://www.milehighautomation.com. Among other things, you will find many testiomonials from estatic clients all over the world.
