Yanko designs one-ups the shuffle

iPod shuffles are great if you can get past the lack of display. The small design, easy integration with iTunes, and iPod halo-effect are significant points of attraction. If you simply must have a screen, the market for wearable MP3 players gets a bit hazy. Hoping to capitalize on the disaffected crowds in need of some LCD love, Yanko designs has cooked up an attractive concept device that just might do the trick. This miniature MP3 player features a shuffle-like clip, allowing you to easily attach the device to just about anything. The curved design contours nicely to your body, and the suitably small 2-line LCD shows track and playback information. The orange and white color scheme evokes images of a pint-sized Sony Walkman complete with matching earbuds. Before you get too excited, this one like most of the best designs, is just a concept. But if you lobby your favorite manufacturer hard enough, it just might see the light of day. The people’s electronics revolution has begun.
