BlackBerry Geek Week: This Close to Heaven in 2007
It’s that time of the year once again BGR faithful, and we’ll have some extra special coverage for you live (and in color) from the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2007 in sunny (and obnoxiously hot) Orlando, Florida. From what I’m hearing through the cracks in the glass and beyond the outreaches of the unknown, this will prove to be the biggest WES to date. Introductions and showcases for the BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry 8830 World Edition devices are to be expected by the onlookers and attendees, but there are also some other should-be-surprising-and-exciting announcements surrounding the enterprise solutions that will be sure to knock the socks right off BES administrators and their corporate management (oh, and government entities, but we’re still not sure if they actually wear socks).
During the 2006 edition of WES, most of us were expecting to hear about a new device set to revolutionize the industry (the Pearl), or the administrators were expecting a preview (or even a brief mention) of BES 5.0, but suffice it to say that neither of those were delivered. I will go out on a limb and say that we’ll see a LOT of unveilings at this year’s WES, including that of… well, we’ll just save those for the conference updates. Stay tuned to BGR from Tuesday morning and on through Thursday night for regular updates from a place just north of the clouds.
