Windows Mobile 6 upgrades continue to roll out

While the T-Mobile Dash remains the only Windows Mobile 6 equipped handset available from a major carrier here in the US, the rest of the world is enjoying a more rapid deployment of WM6 goodness. The latest to receive the next-gen Windows Mobile upgrade is the Giga-Byte i300. This Chinese market handset is a full-featured affair, sporting WiFi, GPS, and a 520 MHz Intel Processor. Its touch screen interface means that it is now receiving an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 Professional, which somehow sounds so much more appealing than the Standard version. The upgrade is available immediately for Chinese i300 owners. Don’t all raise your hand at once! We can only hope this means that these updates will continue to roll out, albeit at somewhat of a snail’s pace. AT&T Blackjack owners can form a line to the left.
