This just in: N75 coming to AT&T imminently

Getting that deja vu feeling? So are we. The botched launch of Nokia’s N75 flip phone last week n AT&T was a bit of a nightmare. As quickly as it appeared on the carrier’s site it was gone, leaving us wondering just what the hell was going on. Neither Nokia nor AT&T has publicly acknowledged the mistake, nor have they given any indication as to when we might expect a real product launch. A glimmer of hope emerged yesterday, as Nokia stated that the phone’s arrival was "imminent." While this doesn’t make up for the emotional pain and psychological turmoil caused by their actions last week, it does mean that some relief and 3G Series 60 goodness is on the horizon.

“While this doesn’t make up for the emotional pain and psychological turmoil caused by their actions last week…” nor does it make up for the nearly six months of delays. With my 8525 in hand, i think i’ll wait this one out. After waiting it out for this long, i can probably hold out until the 2G iphone comes out
The Cingular Branded N75 is scheduled to re-launch on Cingular’s Website at some point tomorrow (May 3rd.)
Don’t forget though that this version will require an OTA update to give it full A2DP Capability (the at&t Branded N75s will include this update in their Firmware.)
I spoke to a Cingular rep about why it was pulled from their website and he said that he received a corproate email and that they (Cingular) pulled it off the website because it was launched to early and they did not have sufficient stock of the phone. And that the release was expected to be sometime in May.
Looks good to me – my contract is up for renewal soon and I
*I heart my Symbian.
Use of the “less than” symbol and 3 did not go well for me.
