British government wants fingerprint activated iPods
The government is working overtime to protect you and your gadgets, despite appearances to the contrary. John Reid, Britain’s Home Secretary, is asking manufacturers to improve security on their product offerings in an attempt to thwart would-be criminals. Reid suggests that companies push to adopt fingerprint recognition capacity on everything ranging from iPods to mobile phones. Brilliant, John! It might just be time to dust off my British passport. Now if only the American government could mandate some way of successfully tracking down my keys in the morning, I might be convinced to stick around. Utopia, here we come.
