Nintendo courting Ken Kutaragi

In a shocking move, Nintendo appears to be courting soon-to-be-former Sony Computer Entertainment division boss Ken Kutaragi. Nintendo’s CEO stated during a press conference yesterday that he "would love to see Kutaragi join up with Nintendo." Kutaragi oversaw the development of the current generation Playstation 3. Many think that this poor management skills and bizarre design aesthetic have been responsible for the console’s poor performance following its release last fall. That being said, it would certainly be interesting to see what might come of a Playstation Wii hybrid. Perhaps the Wii Station? You heard it here first, folks. And yes, I’ve copyrighted the name.

From Engadget:
“Our Japanese bureau had a crack at this one, and they found the story is pretty wrong, to say the least. According to a Bloomberg report, Iwata-san was asked whether Nintendo would make a bid for Kutaragi; the answer, which we found to be a little more realistic, had Mr. Iwata saying, “I don’t think that will happen.” Sorry Ken, doesn’t look like anyone wants you right now. Have you thought about Microsoft?”
yeah so maybe he wasnt but whatever still a fun concept!
