One thing you forgot to mention that I just found by accident. BIS 2.3 now works with Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003. So if your company had upgraded their OWA, you should now have access. Just add your company email, choose the advanced settings and put in your OWA url.

I just got off the phone with a kinder “specialist” and she was very helpful. She called RIM directly and they stated that v2.3 is out there but none of the North American providers have released it until further testing is completed. She also mentioned that there has been no mention of the upgrade in their department.

I am sure that the providers are a bit hesitant with the recent outage.

Had a very simalar experiece as Rob did. But my blackberry ’specialist’ insisted on saying that ‘cingular’ does not have 2.3 yet. When I corrected him that I’m not an AT&T customer, he said, “oh, yea, I guess- either way, you still don’t get the upgrade.”
I wonder who does? I’m getting tired of talking to ’specialists’ that have a hard time just doing their jobs. . .

I can confirum that O2 in UK has upgraded to BIS 2.3, but only the gmail and yahoo are still not two way sycning yet.

I can confirm that vodafone and t-mobile uk have upgraded. I believe almost all of the carriers in Europe have made the switch. Nobody in the US yet….. BG whats the deal with the US?

I just got of the phone with the rudest “The new AT&T” CC rep (Business Care). And at no surprise he had no idea of what I was talking about. He suggested I switch to 2.0 instead!!!

I asw the upgrade message when logged in to cingular blackberry on the afternoon of the 26th, I just checked and am still offered the upgrade. (I previously declined.)

The splash says: BlackBerry® Internet Service™ version 2.0 is NOW available!

(No mention of 2.3)

It actually looks like that might have “cancelled” the maintenence to upgrade the BIS…Will try and find out more about this.

i see no upgrade options for my at&t /cingular account.

I am willing to bet this is a staged upgrade, not everyone at once.

I’m not getting any prompts to upgrade either. I have version 2.0 currently I believe. I get no prompts as of yet, maybe it will start later.
