Playstation 4 in the pipeline?

Ken Kutaragi is a man with a vision. The outgoing Sony Comupter Entertainment CEO stated yesterday that he has grand plans for the next generation Playstation console. He didn’t reveal much about the specifics, but did state that his concept for the PS4 includes advanced network integration to position the device as a completely net-based console. Could the current generation of systems be the last to support physical media? Are the days of waiting in line at Game Stop to pick up Madden the day that it drops over? Either way it seems like Sony still has a bunch of kinks to work out on the current PS3, so don’t expect much on this in the near future.

Among other things it was mentioned on, i think, engadget.com that the expected time for delivery is 2010. While it is far away it’s not as far as the span that the ps2 and ps3 had. So maybe the wait is important to have them develop a better system and hopefuly a cheaper one.
