Sprint Announces PPC-6800

Sprint has sent out the data sheet for their upcoming PPC-6800 (HTC Titan). What a great phone, if it only included Windows Mobile 6 and EV-DO Rev A., instead of hinting at the possibilities of being able to upgrade later. Featuring a 2.8" QVGA LCD screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, microSD card, and 2-megapixel camera with flash, auto-focus and camcorder, it is expected to launch late next month as the replacement to the PPC-6700.

i have this phone…just got it..great phone BUT THE BATTERY LIFE SUCKS…like really bad..like today it was fully charged..i took a 5 hour nap..i woke up..it was 100% DEAD..and that happens alot..anyone else have this problem?if so please email me on my myspace link myspace.com/duvaro and let me know..thanks
Anybody heard of went Verizon is coming out with the 6800?
As far as the battery life… You cant have alot of programs running… after you’re finished with a program, go into Settings, Memory and Running Programs and stop them… Otherwise the battery will decrease tremendously… About the e-mail… You have to send it to the person’s phone e-mail address. like if you wanted to send it to someone at t-mobile, it would be 7708388983@tmomail.net or whatever the person’s carrier’s address is. I love mine.the only thing is that when i don’t use it for a while, it goes into sleep mode, and when i turn it back on, the start menu comes up and not the page i was originally on. Anyone have any suggestions???
Does Verizon have a date they will come out with the 6800?
The phone now comes with WM6 and upgradable REV A. The battery is the same as the 6700 which lasted 3 days on light use and over a full day on heavy use.
Hey all,
I have four questions for the experts here:
1) Sound quality for people hearing my end on the 6700 has been absolutely terrible. Everyone complains and tells me to get a different style phone. I’ve always used Samsungs or LG and never had these kinds of complaints. It seems to cut in and out and take a fraction of a second to realize you’re talking before it the other person can hear my voice.
2) Bluetooth headsets are extremely tinny sounding and cut in/out even worse.
3) The battery life on my 6700 used to be fine…just like what described above. However, no suddenly it won’t hold a charge long enough to survive through the day. I have to plug it in on the way home from work to make a call.
4) where should I go to find the most stable rom update for the phone and would a rom update actually help with audio quality or just toys and trinkets?
Thanks…I’m new here,
Eric
Can anyone tell me if I send in my ppc6700 because it broke do they think i’ll receive the ppc6800
I want to know too
Nah, Sprint will send you a refurbished 6700. The only way they’ll send you the next model is if it’s years later and they just don’t have any 6700’s left period. Although, one thing you can do, you can negotiate with them what it’ll cost to upgrade through your insurance and it’ll cost a lot less than buying a new 6700.
can I get the ppc6800 for cheap w/o a plan. My contract is up will they give me a discount
can I get the ppc6800 for cheap w/o a plan. My contract is up will they give me a discount. I have the ppc6700
Only if you were to find one independently of Sprint. If you go through Sprint to buy one, for the discounts, it requires a 2 year contract.
I don’t understand sprint. I called to see if I renew my contract can I get a discount they said no. Can someone help me
If your last contract is over (usually 2 years), then they should give you the discount if you sign up for a new 2-year contract. I’d call again and ask questions if you get the same answer. Somebody’s missing something. Otherwise threaten to switch to T-mobile, who has the “Wing.”
Yeah, the only way you qualify for the rebates is if you’ve had the same phone for 18 months. If you’ve had the same device for that period of time, you qualify for the rebates. if not, it’s full price.
This is wrong that you have to keep a Broke phone ppc6700 and can’t get a upgrade to the new ppc6800. nobody want those garbage treo for a pocket pc. sprint is wrong can someone help me with sprint to get the mogul
Tina, this is exactly why Sprint has the worst customer service out of all the cell phone companies. They simply can’t afford to use US call centers when people abuse their service and repair program and complain when they don’t get a new phone for free! Do what everyone else does and PAY some money for it. Or just get creative and take the 700wx and sell it to help offset the cost.
Question, How long do anyone think before all the ppc6700 be off the market and out of the warehouse even the refurbish ones?
How is the mogul (ppc6800) coming along is there any real glitches or complaints? I want to know before I go out and buy one.
I plan to buy the HTC 6800 from Bell Mobility in Canada.Presently it is available with WM6 in English only.Is it easy to upgrade to the French version when it will be available ?
I took my ppc6700 to a sprint store bcuz my phone was freezing ,buzzing and not charging my battery they told me they have to order me a phone. I wonder what phone I’m gonna receive. I think that they should have the phone in the store. Being that they not selling anymore. Sprint always have to give you the run around.
I had three bricks (6700) and finally got feed up. so I did some research, called sprint and got the Mogul for $150 I could of got it free but I got too happy with the deal I was getting, But again since before I got the mogul I turned in my old 6700 and got a brand new one, Sold the 6700….$150 of course and ended up happy as hell thanx sprint
Hey does anyone know if you can hold more than one hotmail account on ur mogul??? mine will only let me hold one, and when i go to set up a new account, it won’t let me set up another one. Any suggestions???
Hey… EVDO Rev A and GPS coming to the 6800 in 1Q2008. Chekc it out on Sprint and HTC’s website…
Yahooo… great phone since they fixed the blue tooth problem.
It will not be available with Sprint until Motorola sends it to them so you can’t blame them for not getting it when we want it.
