Motorola Q9 confirmed for AT&T in August?

If you take the word of one of BGR’s top informants, then yes, the Motorola Q 9h will launch on AT&T in August. No hard info, screenshots, or .PDF files, just good old reporting. Expect it to include the same well-known specs like quad-band EDGE, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, 2 megapixel camera with 30fps video capture, and Windows Mobile 6 Standard as AT&T isn’t reported to change or cripple it. Isn’t this summer gonna’ be a blast?

The Moto Q is very relevant to the users who want the form factor and design. The Moto Q9h offers more power than most if not all SmartPhone OS devices available today. I’m sure users will do just fine with the keyboard.

I love that this device (along with the immanent iPhone) pushes RIM/TMob to get the BB 8300 out. All the hardware vendors see each competing device as incremental lost revenue.

Come on TMob don’t let us down, give us our 8300 on May 7th!

I care? I’d like to know what my options will be in the summer. I don’t care that much about the iPhone and need a new quad band PDA or Smartphone.

My Q with Verizon does have its share of problems but it gets the job done. My wife would probably be pretty frustrated with it though. haha

I have also read that this phone has no wifi. There is one way to force you to pay those high data charges.

So if Moto added WiFi inside of the ultra thin body do you expect the batery life to be the same. There has to be some trade off and that is WiFi. The phone is an evolution on what I see as a pretty decent phone and OS. Palm OS is not without significant flaws. I cannot comment on Symbian or RIM OS since I have not used them.

No WiFi = No Big Deal

I had a Verizon Q when they first came out. What a POS. I had the extra battery, and it still died within a few hours. Not to mention the phone was extremely flaky.

Check out the front page: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/08/24/atts-blackberry-8820-motorola-razr-2-v9-and-v3xx-colors/#comments

If you look at the list of phones in that detail I found and the interesting item is the dates range from 8/19- 9/15 so its somewhere in there.
