Dell planning 3G Smartphone

Dell’s recent axing of their Axim product line left a tear or two in the eyes of many. The well-loved PDA was a favorite, revered for its simple design, powerful processor, and thoughtful feature set. It looks like Dell may have a trick up its sleeve, however, as Taiwan manufacturer Quanta has revealed that it has been contracted to work on an upcoming Dell smartphone device. Codenamed "Fly," this handset will reportedly feature a full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA, and more, all running atop Windows Mobile 6 Professional. You sneaky devils.

Can you imagine Dell customer service paired with Sprint’ customer service. That would be hell!

Did Dell buy Palm-One? sure looks like the Palm Treo 750. Maybe they are keeping pictures secret.

I actually enjoy using my Dell Axim and 5-year old Dell Latitude and I haven’t had any problems with it to be honest. So this might not be as bad as people think. As long as it has WiFi and without a stupid touchscreen qwerty keyboard, than it might be worth checking out.
