Nokia moves to integrate GPS across all phones

Nokia software provider Route 66 said today that, "Nokia’s goal is to be at the top of navigation" and plans to do so by integrating GPS chips into all of their handsets, from the free models all the way up to their N and E series phones. GPS integration has been a major selling point for their top of the line N95, so it will be interesting to see how this move will impact sales of their luxury units. Nokia has yet to set a time table for the chipset adoption, so don’t expect a $50 GPS-enabled handset in the near future.
