T-Mobile Wing replacing MDA in August?
T-Mobile has officially taken down their Pocket PC handset the MDA. Everyone has been wondering what the replacement device will be. Will it be the HTC Herald? Will it be 3G and take advantage of T-Mobile’s 1700 MHz band? It looks like we might have some answers now. Enter the T-Mobile Wing. Apparently an HTC P4350 in a new case, the device will launch with Windows Mobile 6 Professional. MyMobile911 writes, "The T-Mobile Wing have the same size as the Cingular 8525 with a Spring loaded sliding keyboard. Also it has the same screen size as the 8525. With the blue rubberized coating all over the body (as the Dash, however is blue), the T-Mobile Wing has a very attractive and high class feeling". They have reported the handset was on track to launch in June, but has been pushed to August for an undisclosed reason.

Hmmmm thats funny I was informed by a HTC rep that the mda replacement will be out no later than may…….
I also heard of a tentative release date of May 7th.
Other scuttlebutt says the Wing is actually the Herald – not the hermes.
Maybe there will be two different replacements
Wow, did HTC have to hire a bunch of ex-Palm guys to show them how to stagnate their technology, or are they doing this on their own?

well it makes sense that t-mobile doesn’t role out all its new toys at once. 8800, 8320, the wing. gotta space it out a bit and give models a chance to be pushed.
Dude, this thing looks just like the HTC Herald/P4350. It has all the same features and form factor, it even as that spring loaded keyboard that was first introduced on the Herald.

i have heard that the phone has been pushed back, along with no wm5, and no my faves i think i might have to check that one. they want the dash too be the small biz or consumer device and the 8800 for the biz sector. that is why no retail launch. no non myfaves phones will debut in retail stores.
Wow…we’re so so far behind technology wise, this phone is old news to the rest of the world…I’m still going to get one
I work for said company and we just received our sales updates that provide the “T-Mobile Wing” in it’s new list, with an estimated arrival time of May 27th.
