Consilient offers yet another push email alternative

As if the ongoing battle between emoze and RIM wasn’t pointless aggravating enough, there’s another player entering the ring. Consilient, a company with offices in the US, Canada, and Southeast Asia, claims that their Java app-based service will allows users to have email pushed immediately to a their phones, with support for GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, and any other POP/IMAP account. The free version of the service offers ad-supported push for up to 5 separate accounts, while the $15 per month premium service removes the aforementioned advertisements. Both versions offer support for .txt, .jpg, and .doc attachment viewing. The list of supported phones is, well, odd, as there are several Windows Mobile 5 devices, including the Q and, get this, support for BlackBerry’s as well, in addition to many "regular" mobile phones. Why anyone would want to use this service over the proprietary BlackBerry push service is beyond me but then again, the world works in mysterious ways. If anyone feels like giving this one a shot, report back with your experiences.

I’ve been using emoze for a while and I must say that emoze solution is amazing, and you’ll get the full version for free. In addition, emoze launched a new service without the need of a running PC. emoze is connecting to the Outlook Web Access and it’s also for FREE.
Amazing isn’t it?
Gilirock.
I’m assuming you’re wondering why a Blackberry user would use Consilient.
You might want to use it if you want your Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail account pushed to your Blackberry, as well as your Blackberry email. Also any other POP3 or IMAP accounts. Works pretty well on my SonyEricsson K750.
In addition, the Consilient system isn’t down right now …
i purchased the tmobile blackberry curve yesterday and i am having trouble adding my hotmail account to the phone. this is what it tells me….Access to HotmailĀ® now requires a subscription email account, you must first enable Outlook or Outlook Express access within Hotmail.
To enable Outlook or Outlook Express access within Hotmail, click here to open Hotmail’s support page and follow the instructions. Once you have enabled Outlook or Outlook Express access to your Hotmail account, return to this page.
when i tried to forward my hotmail to my blackberry it wont let me either. help!!! i really like the phone but i want access to my hotmail account with out having to go through the browser.
I’ve had the same problem w/ my ATT Curve, did you figure it out?
