BlackBerry 8300 to T-Mobile & Verizon/Sprint BlackBerry Pearl to Launch May 7th?

According to Merrill Lynch, the BlackBerry 8300 is heading to T-Mobile in May & the BlackBerry Pearl for Verizon/Sprint will launch also launch May 7th. Supposedly. The "firm looks for two positive catalysts near term: 1) RIM’s FQ earnings call on 11-April; and 2) Potential launch of Verizon/Sprint Pearl and T-Mobile 83xx WiFi Blackberry on 7-May, coinciding with RIM’s Capital Markets Day. MLCO recommends buying May US$140.00 call options ahead of the upcoming catalysts". Sure this is only speculation, but never ever dismiss good ol’ Merrill. It does coincide with the approximate rumored launch timeframe for the BlackBerry 8300, but T-Mobile? I guess Pink is hotter than Blue nowadays.

Thanks, Tarik

No that is not a correct date. The date for the 8800 will be in June/July.

Not sure if this is relevant so much, but I have official word from Verizon: As we all know by now, the 8830 comes out May 14 for business account and May 28 to stores. However, this is not “the pearl” as I have seen many sites claim. Verizon’s version of the pearl is slated to come out Q4 of 2007 – if not Q1 of 2008. It will include a camera (which will be Verizon 1st cameraberry).

Is it just me or does that T-Mobile splash screen look completely fake? Why do the other photos have an AT&T theme and are on the cingular network?
