Cingular Rebate Form, April style
Hot off the press is this brand new Cingular rebate sheet, indicating some hot new phones and rebates beginning April 1st. Sit tight, crack a beer, and get comfortable, as there’s a lot to unpack here. First up is the Nokia N75, a phone we’ve been playing with, and waiting for Cingular to release. It looks like they’ve finally gotten their act together, as it’s scheduled to debut with a $50 rebate out of the gate. Moving right along, we’ve got the Samsung a717, a cunning little Ultra Edition 3G-equipped handset that’s a dead ringer for Sprint’s current SPH-M610, in GSM livery of course. Not to be outdone by its CDMA brethren, this baby has UMTS/HSDPA, and A2DP-equipped Bluetooth for your stereo listening pleasure. Check out the rest of the handsets after the jump!
There’s also the Nokia 6085, a Quad Band EDGE affair with an internal antenna, featuring the standard array of options, including Bluetooth, music player with Cingular Xpress audio messaging, expandable memory, and a shockingly low-resolution VGA shooter. No 3G and a plethora of low-end features means this one will most likely be relegated to the free with-service realm. The LG CU500 receives a small update in the form of the CU500v, which will feature a front facing camera and be compatible with Cingular’s Video Share service. You can check out some details on that service here. Finally, there’s the Samsung a437. Not a whole lot to go on for this one, but given it’s placement on the Go Phone list, I’m assuming it’s not going to be anything earth shattering. Of significant note is the lack of any new smart devices, including no mention of the Blackberry 83xx. Cingular better have some tricks up it’s sleeve.
Thanks, Luis

is that meN CU500V COMING IN APRIL ?
I noticed there is no BB 8300…and the rebate form is good through June 2nd. So it’s not coming to AT&T until mid-June now?
Sylar – I dunno about that.
I don’t think they offered a rebate on the 8800 at launch either.
Good point Rickster, I feel better now.
What is with the new Palm 750 N… I have not seen that one before, can anyone help. Thanks!
they did offer a $50 rebate when the 8800 came out.
I must’ve bought on the bleeding edge then…. wait – the exec at $day_job wanted it bad enough to pay full retail.
But damn – I sure don’t want to wait until June.
I’ve got that month reserved for the iPhone.
they did offer a rebate on the 8800 when it came out but it was its own separate rebate form… it wasn’t (and still isn’t) listed on the regular cingular rebate form…
^edit to above^ i mean as of march 31st it is not on the regular rebate form… when this new form comes out it will be on with the rest of the forms…
but i am assuming the 83xx will be on its own form when it comes out…
Engadgetmobile seems to think the Samsung A437 is a $420 D900. Do you still think it is a Go phone?
i think your pals over at engadgetmobile think differently about the a437:
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/03/31/atandts-latest-internal-price-sheet-tells-all/
most likely the 8300 like the 8800 will come with it’s own rebate seperate form… or just share the form with the 8800/.
The N75 is not worth the money they’re charging at this late stage in the game. If they had released it back in Dec, then I could see it.
For anyone curious the 750 N was actually 750 NC which means no camera. Cingular makes business versions of their 2xxx/3xxx/8xxx/Treo series that lack a camera.
At this point, the question is not whether the N75 is worth it – Rather the question is when in the world will AT&T finally Release an interesting Nokia phone?!?!?!??!
