Motorola MC35 Confirmed!

Motorola’s MC35 attempts to tap into the enterprise fleet market with a new type of device. Coined EDA, or Enterprise Digital Assistant, the MC35 features a number of standard features that elevate it above the fold. Moto is billing it as an “all-in-one communication device that harnesses the voice and data applications people expect from an office setting and delivers them in the form of a durable and compact handheld mobile computer.” It features GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Quad Band EDGE/GSM, a camera, bar-code reader, while running good ole’ Windows Mobile 5 atop a 416MHz Intel XScale processor. This rugged, and rather ugly, device, will be released in April on AT&T, and run you $640 – $750 depending on spec.

“symbol” is the brand name for motorola?
WHY?? 600 dollars but NO 3.5g! And it’s the only thing keeping it from being perfect. Why is it sooo hard to add this (rhetorical question)? Jeez… It’s either “gps and no 3g” or “gps and no wifi” or “wifi and gps but no 3g” I mean WTF seriously. Boy Genius, you know people, someone needs to slap these companies around. Like seriously, Steve Jobs are you LISTENING??!!
@ Don Kelly:
Symbol used to be a separate company. They sold rugged barcode scanners and things of that nature. Motorola recently purchased them, but it looks like they are keeping the Symbol name for products of this nature.
don kelly, it’s all about battery life. you can’t have it all and still be able to actually use it for more than an hour.
You want every features, try HTC or Dopod, with fantastic specifications.
Anybody out there using this device yet? I have some concerns/problem with the barcode scanning feature, and I’m curious if anyone out there is experiencing the same…
I also can’t not get the barcoding to work–at ALL!
