BlackBerry 8320 In Hand

We’re almost there people! Now if I can only get my hands on the svelte looking chrome and black BlackBerry 8300 model, my life’s mission will be completed. Well, at least for a few hours. Although it’s the same case with minor color changes, the BlackBerry 8320 has one thing the 8300 doesn’t. That’s WiFi. Still no GPS but, let’s hope the 8xxx (Papa Bear) will join his family soon at the BGR Headquarters. Check out some BlackBerry 8320 flicks in the gallery!

On second note: While looking over the device it seems as if it has the standard 2.5mm headset jack, and NOT the 3.5mm headset jack found on the 8300. RIM is really just trying to confuse the hell outta us aren’t they?

Wow I cannot believe they changed the jack. Hmm hopefully the 83xx will come out for T-Mobile with the 3.5mm headset jack and I will be all over that new BB. So amazing looking and I cannot wait to see the 83xx.

Sprint baby, here we come. This is EXACTLY what they need! The jack is not tnat big of a deal is it? My Bose headphones work with either size jack. Don’t most high quality head phones do that also?

Oh, damn, this phone is sexy, I want it!

@jwheels, this particular one looks like it requires a SIM card which means GSM, so no hope for Sprint at this time :(.

But here’s to hoping they make a CDMA version, I just just got a fantastic plan with Sprint, hook us up BlackBerry!

Nice BG! This one certainly looks like the model in the sample video you showed from yesterday. Papa bear, where are you? I’m wondering if all three 8300 models will be released at the same time?

    Mama…there go that man again!

I’d love an exact date for this device! Here’s a question to everyone. iPhone or this? I’m having a small conundrum with it. While I still haven’t seen a lick of information besides the initial introduction on the iPhone, it intrigues me. Would you buy a new BB (8800/83xx) or wait for the iPhone?

I would hazard a guess that this is going to be released for T-Mobile? Since they are the biggest proponents of UMA of the wireless carriers. I would still like to think this could be available from Sprint, but that looks like completely wishful thinking

Anyone have a preference for this over say the Cingular 8525 (bigger keyboard, faster? processor, bigger screen, 3G connection.

Says that there will be a WIFI upgrade. You could add wifi to your 8300. I wonder if this is true. They say they have confirmed it.

BG, I dropped the site a short email message. The theme you are looking at appears to be the new t-mo zen theme. we received that theme on the 4.2.1.66 upgrade for the 8100.

Screen shot of my 8100 with tmo branded theme:

looks like a match to me.

What’s with the large area beneath the keyboard that looks like it was inserted? Does this have something to do with the WiFi radio or something? Or does it look like this will be the piece of plastic that changes depending on who they are branding for at the time?

Any ETA (if there is one) for the 8320 on Cingular/at&t?

i’d love this (especially because of the wifi) and i’m traveling to europe this summer so this would be the perfect iPhone alternative for me

speaking of iPhone, BG how long until you can get your hands on one?
