BlackBerry 8320 In Hand
We’re almost there people! Now if I can only get my hands on the svelte looking chrome and black BlackBerry 8300 model, my life’s mission will be completed. Well, at least for a few hours. Although it’s the same case with minor color changes, the BlackBerry 8320 has one thing the 8300 doesn’t. That’s WiFi. Still no GPS but, let’s hope the 8xxx (Papa Bear) will join his family soon at the BGR Headquarters. Check out some BlackBerry 8320 flicks in the gallery!
On second note: While looking over the device it seems as if it has the standard 2.5mm headset jack, and NOT the 3.5mm headset jack found on the 8300. RIM is really just trying to confuse the hell outta us aren’t they?

The 8320 does not seem to play all the media files, example MP3… that is the impression I got from the Blackberry website…

Is this true?
Basically, what are the differences between 8800 and 8320 other than the obvious ones:
8320 has WiFi and camera but no GPS
8800 has GPS but no WiFi or camera
Any other major differences?
Thanks.
You’ll find the following unbelieveable but true!
You have that terrific Bluetooth stereo headset that works great for the music but they decided it wasn’t necessary for videos????
So if/when you want to view your videos in private you need to jack a wired headset into your Curve.
As of today T-Mobile informs me that Rim has no intention of providing a patch to resolve this Major Defect.
What a waste since it is unable to take clear pictures and no ability to take short video clips.
Considering I put a 4GB in mine, not being able to record multiple memos directly to the unit doesn’t make any sense either.
Thanks for allowing me to vent my frustration.
Mac
just to clarify, they havent changed the jack!
I just saw the specs on the 8820. GPS, WiFi, bluetooth, but no camera.
Regarding the 8320, Carlos mentioned in Oct 07: “I’m trying to install Telenav to get REAL GPS on the phone.. I’ll let u know how it goes”
Any luck?
The 8320 runs Yahoo Go well and can provide realtime map support with an external GPS receiver it says. This is obviously a free GPS navigation solution from Yahoo (except for the one-time cost of an external bluetooth GPS receiver). Has anyone had success using Yahoo Maps on Yahoo Go software with a bluetooth GPS receiver?
I’m very pleased with my new T-MO 8320 BB Curve. Was tired of Verizon’s overly-optimistic coverage charts and poor performance; spent more $ on ads than performance. My Palm m-500 PDA died about 3 weeks prior to finding my new Smart-Phone that does it all! Wirefly even included a bluetooth headset. T-Mo’s customer service is very impressive!
i am try to down load yahoo to go in my blackberry 8320 but not work so what can i do same body help me
Does anyone know if ATT is going to be getting the 8320? Or should I just buy the 8820 instead which ATT already has? Becasue having the curve without WiFi is worthless.
Tlng di bantu donk….
