LG Hosts World Texting Championships. Professional Athletes Everywhere Shudder.
Phone manufacturer LG has announced plans to host the World Texting Championships, pitting text messaging monsters against each other in a head to head death match. If you’re interested in applying, know that the semifinals will take place in Hollywood and New York on March 31, with the winner of each receiving $10,000 and a ticket to New York for the finals and a shot at the $25,000 grand prize. No word on whether this is T9 or QWERTY based (my guess is on T9). Oh, and also…LG phones only.
