The Nokia N75 has been on top of many, many Cingular customer’s wish lists. With all the leaked pictures surrounding this model the release date can’t be far away right? Well, it’s still up in the air. It could be released this month as some have reported, but the handset may be delayed to a later date. Pushing Cingular’s hate it or love it Cingular Music/Video service, it’s the first 3G Nokia phone to grace Cingy’s product lineup. Click on for more pics.

Thanks to XSELL4UX for the hookup.

am excited to hear BGR even commenting on the N75…it’s been awhile. Whatever the “disagreement” is between Cingular and Nokia, from all of the posts I’ve read since before Christmas, MANY people have been lost to other brands. Hope the time spent conforming to Cingular will not “ruin” the phone.

I am getting pissed off by pictures like this - more and more ppl got their hands on to play with this phone, and there is still no definite release date. WTF?

I’ve been waiting, and waiting, and waiting and still no word on when this thing is coming out. I’m really disappointed that this phone isn’t out yet. I’m due for an upgrade and I’m afraid that when (if) it’s released, I’m going to be let down. the sad part is that Cingular has no other phones that appeal to me at this time.

Well with full American 3G bands, the QVGA display, and a reasonably slick (though somewhat bulky looking design) hopefully Symbian will work (and look) fantastic on this phone. More 3G phone options is never a bad thing, and while this phone probably won’t attract the RAZR people who’s contracts are expiring soon, from the meager information available, this phone at least seems to be a promising model

I’ve been waiting for this phone since November because I love the Symbian OS (and nothing else appeals to me at the moment). Although I don’t have too many other options I’m extremely tired of waiting for it like so many others. Since I’m not very familiar with this site, is it a good sign that we’re seeing pictures of this phone on here? That is, have other phone pics been release before on the BGR that get released soon afterwards? With leaked pictures of a retail package and now this, I’m hoping for a mid-March release.

There is an auction for one on ebay. The guy has all these same pics from the boygeniusreport. lots of nigerian scammers on there anymore, who knows for sure. Anyway Ive been a moto fan for a long time, but im razred out. It will be nice to have another 3g choice. Im not too fond of the v3xx, just another razr similar to the cdma version verizon and sprint have had for a long time., yes I know its fatser. anyway, im curious to see the n75. cingular has a rep for launching phones late, so guess will see.Dont think we,ll see the maxx anytime soon, so maybe I,ll jump ship when the n75 arrives.

what about the n76? Wasn’t that just announced as well? Kind of retarded of Nokia and Cingular announcing the N75, then delays the release date…all of a sudden we got a new model…gonna grow old and gray before I wait for these good phones to hit the US…

I’ve heard the delays have been some flaky firmware on the device. I too have been waiting to dump my trusty 6682, which I love, but its 8 MBs of RAM for apps is far too small now. If this phones looks as good in person a on the spec sheet, I’lll gladly sign up for 2 more years. Love Symbian 60 phones, but none of them but this one for for 3G service in the US.

There has been a delay on this phone because of a program in this phone that is made from microsoft. This program basically allows users to take contents downloaded on the device (ringtones, songs, backgrounds, etc..) and then unlock the purchase lock and then send that to ANY other device that can receive it. (Pretty much any) The thing is, because nokia has this built in as part of the phone, Cingular has basically taken on responsibility to users that share “paid for content.” Cingular has been waiting for Microsoft to have “legal documents” made saying that if anyone decides to sue them that they are not responsible for any traded content. That is the only thing that they are waiting on, period. Microsoft has yet to get this done for Cingular (probably because that will then put the problem on them) The Nokia rep let me know that this will probably be released in MAY! yeah i know that sucks to hear but that is straight from them.

I was debating between the Nokia n73 and the SE w810i. I ended up going with the SE this week after a decade of faithful Nokia gadgets. Couldn’t be happier!

I saw the Nokia N75 on eBay. It doesn’t seem as if there is a Symbian OS on the device. What gives?

I have an inside connection at Nokia and what the word is on the inside is that the phone passed Cingulars testing with flying colors, but it is now stuck in Cingular’s legal quagmire negotiating pricing and purchase quantities with Nokia. Its has been “any day” since November. I’ll believe it when I see it!!

Have you any further word as to when or if the Nokia N75 will come out or its possible price. Talking to any Cingular office and it is like trying to talk to a politician, they make no sense.
