Cingular Nokia N75 in the concrete jungle
.jpg)
The Nokia N75 has been on top of many, many Cingular customer’s wish lists. With all the leaked pictures surrounding this model the release date can’t be far away right? Well, it’s still up in the air. It could be released this month as some have reported, but the handset may be delayed to a later date. Pushing Cingular’s hate it or love it Cingular Music/Video service, it’s the first 3G Nokia phone to grace Cingy’s product lineup. Click on for more pics.

Thanks to XSELL4UX for the hookup.

Here is the response that I got from a
Cingular product manager.
The version for retail and agents will be released in late April/early May timeframe. There is a national retail version that is hitting soon in Best Buy’s, the version we (Cingular Stores) get will have an updated easier to use menu system.
I stopped in at the local Cingular store and asked about the Nokia N75. The sales person’s response on the delay of the phone was blamed on the merger of ATT and Cingular. He also said that the phone is on the price sheet ($260, with a $60 rebate) for upcoming releases. Release date no later then May. Hopefully it’s true. It’s a perfect phone to upgrade to!
Jay –
you can download the rebate form from cingular’s website (as they use 1 rebate form for all phones in 1 quarter.
You can also get a benchmark for the pricing from bestbuy
go to bestbuy–>cellular phones–>browse phones–>select Nokia as device manufacturer and it will be the last on the list.
Thanks!
Sorry one more note… In the US the rebate form lists the rebate as 50.00
Mike,
Thanks for the info!
Did you here anything different on the release date?
Regarding the Release date… nope… I was just thankful to get what I got… since BestBuy has it on their website.. I imagine soon..
I am more interested in learning of the differences between the two menu systems… (the one at Bestbuy, and the one in retail stores later…)
The following website says it will be in stock 4/15/07.. is this just an approximation.. i.e. average /middle of April?/? or a real date?

My girlfriend works for a Cingular agent and they say the phone will be in before the end of April. Their Cingular represenitive said the phone didn’t come out sooner due to problems with the screen.
I just went to Amazon.com and looked at the Cingular phones. You can buy it starting today from them for $363.99.
No point ordering from Amazon if Best Buy is offering it for $199. Unless you think getting it a few days sooner is worth your $164.
I demo’d this phone at the Beverly Center in LA the other day. It is a great piece of equipment, but seriously, I almost felt it wasnt’t that much better than the LG500. I am a die-hard Nokia fan and I am hoping for Nokia to come out with a better model to compete with Moto Q and Blackjack. I kinda want Querty…the only downside to the N75…no Querty.
Have you looked at the E62, E61, or E61i? All three are nokia pda’s with qwerty. The E61 = E62, but E61 adds wifi and wcdma. E61i adds a 2mp camera. Only the E62 is available now, but the others are “expected soon”.
The lg500 doesn’t have voice dial (which is a must for me).
The N75 will be released sometime in MAY!
Finally the first solid review, looks like it should be out soon.

Check that, It is finally out!
I got 2 Nokia N75s from cingular (AT&T) yesterday. Opened one, amazed to see the cute phone. It has lots of features.
THanks
Don’t care for the Nokia N75, had it 2 months, battery goes dead with no sound notification, if anyone knows how to turn on the sound notification to alert when battery is low, would appreciate the info. Other than that, guess it’s ok.
Deb – in the profile setup, you have to have “warning tones” set to “on” to be alerted about low battery. However, about 10 seconds after the tone, the phone will shut off. Also, this means that the startup and shut down tones will also be activated.
