Designer Luggage Tags With A Twist
Tracking chip manufacturer RFID Ltd. is set to begin marketing upscale luggage tags with embedded RFID chips. Designed to match suitcases from designers including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, and more, these tags would give airlines a more efficient means of tracking lost baggage. The end result being fewer cases of lost luggage, and shorter wait times for baggage recovery. No airlines have signed on, but I have a sneaking suspicion that their hesitation might have something to do with a combintion of privacy concerns and prohibitive cost.
