New LG DMB Chip Promises Picture in Picture; 4 Hour Viewing Time
LG announced yesterday that they have developed an innovative new chip for mobile television viewing. This new chip promises lower power consumption, resulting in extended viewing time. LG is also claiming clearer picture quality and real-time traffic info provided by TPEG technology. Most interesting is the presence of picture-in-picture technology, a seemingly ridiculous proposition on your average cell-phone screen; possibly more viable for PDA applications.
