Unboxing: Logitech Harmony 1000 Remote

Let me start this one by saying I’m a huge fan of the Logitech Harmony line of universal remotes. Having used everything from a simple remote from Radio Shack to a $20,000 Crestron unit I can’t express enough how much I like this damn thing! It’s a nice mid-range remote to put in your living room, TV room, bedroom, etc. All the macros are programmed online, you simply put in your component model #’s into the software, tell it what input your TV needs to be on, your receiver needs to be on and click update. It then programs the remote and you simply press "Watch DVD" or "Watch PVR" and the remote will send out all the necessary commands to make sure your components are on the right inputs and working. Having trouble? Press help and a great help guide will pop-up and make sure your straight! Click on for the full pictorial!

Any ideas where the pricing will be for one of these?

I paid $150 for my logitech 880 and my friends think I am crazy. Imagine what they would think if I got the new 1000.
Looks cool, but that’s a lot of cash.

Yeah man it’s really a nice remote. But honestly, the 880 is enough. Even paying $250 for a remote kinda makes me feel un easy haha. But it’s definitely a great remote. The 1000 looks amazing, but I can’t justify dropping $500 for it.
