Hands On: Motorola Z6

We recently sat down with the Motorola Z6 and had a little heart-to-heart. Well not really. As soon as I got it I ripped open the box and continued to photograph the living daylights out of this bad puppy. Although this isn’t a major overhaul as the case, size, and shape really hasn’t changed, but the black plastic instead of the rubber is great and the screen is incredible! The new Motorola JUIX OS on the Z6 works really well. The way things function and how stable it is; it’s really impressive. Although the features may not have changed, and the size hasn’t changed, I have to say if you have a Z3 it’s time to upgrade. Click on for all the pics!

So besides from the operating system, and the stylish new keypad, had anything actually changed? I’m looking into getting a RIZR because it seems a lot of people around here have the KRZR, and who likes to be the same? But now I don’t know which to get, but if there are no changes, and there’s a big price difference, I see no reason not to get the Z3

Differences between Z3 and Z6 are 2.0 inch QVGA screen (vs. 1.9 inch 220×176 screen), Linux multi-tasking OS, fast launching media player, and the alarm clock is so much better (recurring alarm - haha)!

Oh, I forgot. The shutter lag on the camera is greatly reduced.

This is the phone I have sooooo been waiting for. I aggree with what jetpeach said, the one area Motorola fails is in how it rolls out new models. They take so long to mainstream a product it is generally outdated before it even hits the US.

I just purchased the phone while on vacation in singapore and wow. the phone is much better than expected. i am throughly impressed with how solid the phone feels and yes, the OS is so much faster, better and more stable. there is even a section/ disclaimer that seems to encourage developers to develop software for it because it is open source.

Hi, z3 vsz6 … camera clarity, sound intensity and clarity, look and the overall speed are the same. Z6 is supported by linux… besides it can play some extra formats of files like wma aac+….
    Thanks
