HTC X7500 Full Spec Sheet

We all have heard about the HTC X7500 right? Here’s a full spec sheet right from HTC and guess what? It has a tri-band UMTS/HSDPA radio contrary to other initial reports. This baby will fly in the US! (HTC OEM version atleast) It weighs a hefty 355g, sports a high powered LED for the camera flash and has GPS built-in. Download the full PDF below!

Thanks Tal.

i’d like to see a picture of one of these in someone’s hands to really gauge how big/small it is. what’s the point of having a keyboard like that if you can’t “type” on it? and by type i mean w/ all fingers, not just thumbs… still, its an impressive piece.

I certainly hope this is true-
but remember the HUGE upset regarding HTC’s mistaken specs for the HTC Meteor? People had purchased it becuase the posted specs were Quadband- turns out, it was a marketing mistake.

    I’m crossing my fingers.

Well - it looks amazing with great features and a super screen…

But what’s to do about the phone? I can’t put it in my pocket; I can’t hold it to my noggin? Are we talking BT headset only?

And I’m wondering about the magnetic KB action (buddy of mine translated the Russian review). That seems kind of dodgy. But the specs are out of this world.

Well, that’s a really good point. Headsets will most definitely be the preferred way to speak on this device i’m presuming and i’m sure this thing will have a damn good speakerphone aswell. Sit it on your conference table and talk away…

The key factor that could send this through the roof would be SIM card swapping.

I know we don’t do it much stateside. But this device would be the perfect backup mobile internet device at *bucks or wherever - especially if you kept a spare GSM handset (you know we all have one) in your pocket.

When you can’t carry the Athena - just drop your SIM in your handset. When you’re ready for full-band HSPDA sweetness - install your SIM and cruise.

That would be a sweet set-up (can you hear me salivating?).

The specifications here (spec sheet above) says the X7500 got a 3.5inch screen. According to all other reports the x7500/Athena/Ameo have a 5inch screen.

It would be nice to have the device with WM6…

whel here are a few things i would like to see differant in this mashine but part from that i want 1 and am going to get one…

    the minor poits are :

    1-

    it just has 8gb of memory , oke withe a 4gb sd card it’s 12gb , but stil just 12gb !!!

and yes i bet you al wil say just 12gb , dam that is a lot…

whel i think not , if you compare the thing to a video ipod or 1 of those mediaplayer thingies , whel they al have 30gb !!

and whel if you compare the size they are simmilar….

so my big ting is why put in an internal microdrive ???

to be honest just give me 2 to 4gb of internal flash for the operating systhem and an external compactflash I/II slot insted of an sd slot…

you may be wondering why i would want this becouse compactflash may seem inferior and big …

but if they would have done this i could have fitted a aftermarket 30gb microdrive….

that if needed could be removed thus taking al my sensitive info out of the mahine in 1 go…

and to be honest nobody things of that :-S
i don’t fus if something hapens to my mashine , but i do if al my sensitive info falls into the wrong hands….

    2-

    the keabord…
    oke why ad one ??
i don’t need 1 becouse i want a big toutscreen becouse i want to write on it !!! may sound stupide , but that is the whole reason to get a bigger screen + it’s beter for internet and playing video’s etc….

but i can see it’s a sort of screen potector , and that wil be it’s use when i get one…

and oke it makes a nice desk stand , but as i wil get 2 docking stations anyway (1 for home 1 for the office) but that could have been rezolved withe flip out legs or even puting a nice counterbalance like lets say a BAT at the bottem edge , thusly outomaticly make it stand on it’s edgge if you have a flat surface….

and the thing has wifi and an usb port , so you can always conect an external keabord / mouse if you need to anyway…

    3-

    sim cards….
yes yet again a bisnes phone withe just 1 simcard slot…

    i’ve been wanting 2 for like ages…

    again why need 2 ??

whel they think us buisnes guis have enouthe money to pay extra for oversees cals etc..

but that does not mean we are stupide…
having a sim card for each countrie you do buisnes in makes more sence , and it saves money… duhhhh…

would be nice to have atleast 2 slot , 4 would be the moast…. but it would mean i don’t have to carie multiple phones , or swich simcards…

it would also mean that i could get a simcard from my office for “work related calles / subscriptions etc.” and have my own simcard in there for “private” use.

this would save my office a phone becouse a simcard is cheaper , and i don’t have to cary multiple divices or swich sims on the go like i said….

if those things were to be fixed i think i would have my optimal divice….

as i say it’s pretty good.
good enouthe to make me want to give up my sony p800….

it would be good for work and private use , from spreadsheats / presentations , to watshing video / listening to al my musick on the go….

i like the gps function , this means i just have to take 1 gadjet out of the car….

and whel makes me go faster to where i need.

    whel that was my beef…
