Unboxing: HTC Cavalier
I have been looking forward to this ritual for a while now, and finally a little while ago it happened. The HTC Cavalier (S630) in the flesh unboxed. As many of you know it’s a needed upgrade to the ever popular HTC Excalibur (and all incarnations). The processor has been upgraded to a Samsung 400Mhz, flash memory of 128MB, a 2-mega pixel camera, and a slightly updated form factor. The 3G is tri-band, 850/1900/2100 and I have been zipping along Cingular’s network without a hitch so far. HSDPA baby! Signal reception is as good or better than the Excalibur and the JOGGR touch-wheel has been moved to the direct side instead of by the screen. And now for some bad news, HTC sent out a memo to all distributors saying this device has been “postponed indefinitely”. Who knows. Follow the HTC trail for more pics!

Now Dopod have announced the C730, do you think the HTC Cavalier will finally make it to the market?
I’m with t-mobile rite now and i am liking it. i am planning on buying a new phone. i really liked the Dash, then i saw the Kaiser, and now this. Im wondering if these will both be available to t-mobile. should i get the T-mobile Dash or wait to see what happens.
by the way, do you have any idea around how much it will cost
It’s been many months since they said the excalibur would be released, so i stopped olding my breath, and my wallet, and am enjoying my modded Dash in the meantime. Cinguler does not have 1 wi-fi phone here…I don’t think they want their customers having it…my contract is up TOMORROW so I will check out other carriers now. There was an Excalibur for sale on Ebay for $2700. I would buy one IMMEDIATELY but for much less.

There is a Cavalier on Ebay for only $270, it is slightly used and the seller states the rom is in Beta version. I’m not sure what that means, but there may never be any upgrades for this phone if they stop the production.
Yeah, there are 2 phones on Ebay! One used for $265 and one for $305 brand New, I’m going to bid. Does anyone know if it uses the same programs for the T-mobile Dash? I just purchase the Dash with lots of software. Would hate to upgrade and waste all that money.
This phone will be released next month. You may want to consider the ebay phone as being used, no warranty, perhaps a demo rom, etc.
You’d have to be nuts to pay he $899 by it now.
I have been hearing it’s coming out next week for awhile. I can wait on the the Cavalier as I just bought the dash last week and Love it. Does anyone have any proof from the company or a website stating it is coming out forsure next month?

I spent a lot of time & money on my DASH and have a ton of software in it, so I am not so sure I am willing to spend the $550 for a new phone at the moment. In 6 months the price will drop significantly.
I just bought the Dash also, Its kind of slow and has a few minor glinches. For a measly $500, I think its worth it. Its twice as fast and I am sure I can still sell mine for $150 to $200. Is T-mobiel going to sell it so I can have extend one of my accounts and get it cheaper? Thanks!
Did they improve the screen resolution from the Dash to the Cavalier?

Ive got to say it you lot are a bunch of fukin morons, the iPhone is by far the best phone on the market I have an iPhone and it is the dogs danglies and before you ask of course it the brand new 3g one from O2, I am so good its un-true and you lot well suck if I must say, good day to you turd heads !!!!
