Seems like a nice upgrade. Although, personally I’d rather own a Windows Mobile or Linux device. Never been into symbian, blackberry, etc. Palm is lame, too old. They need to drop that linux based palm os! Was it called ALP or sumthin? I heard it got pushed back again… :SAD:

Ok, so the screen says Cingular at the top…Big freakin’ deal. That doesn’t mean Cingular is getting it first.
Do you not remember the first pics that surfaced of the Pearl (From BG if I am not mistaken) also had the Cingular on the homescreen and who got the 8100 first? That’s right…TMobile did.
Just because it says Cingular on the homescreen doesn’t mean jack.
Does the fact that it is in a Cingular store mean anything to you? How much proof do you need?

So Cingular stores are the only places in the world that have Texas Instruments calculators like that? Nortel Phones? Those Types Of Keyboards? MicroSD readers? Countertops like that?
Come on now…
Give me 1 SOLID proof that is an actual Cingular store…Like a reflection of a Cingular or BlackJack poster in the reflection of the screen. Or a sticker on one of those above mentioned products that says “Property Of Cingular”.
Not just an assumption that it is a Cingular store because of the countertops.

Even if it IS a Cingular store, that still doesn’t mean that they’re getting the device first or what have you. There’s a lot of testing 8800s out in the wild, I’m sure they could turn up anywhere.

I say that the 8800 or 8900 whatever it’s called, is playing catch-up in the multimedia sector. I can’t believe it doesn’t have a camera. Yes, it looks cool but it needs more, and I know there are suppose to be different versions of this phone also.
cingular store- notice the sim card reader. last time i was in a T-mo store the counters were white and if were any other carrier they wouldnt have a sim reader.
I guess if that one doesnt have camera then the tmob one will……??? ohhh i hope so, bought my 8100 6 weeks ago and ill buy this one the first day as well. income tax time yall so its phone(or should i say device buying time). hurry!!!!!!!
ps ill stick with my 8100, but i will not let my 89 or 8800 leave the house to face the elements of the world.
