Live shots: Cingular branded Motorola KRAZR

Here is the Cingular branded Motorola KRAZR display model. This can only mean that it made it through the long journey past Cingular’s vigorous testing and is back on track for a first quarter release. All of you Cingy fanboys out there who have been holding out shouldn’t have to wait much longer as Cingular retail stores have started receiving these K1 dummy units. Keep it here for the official launch info coming soon but for now enjoy the pics.

For someone that supposedly knows a lot about handsets, you should really learn that it’s spelled ‘KRZR,’ no A.

Thanks for your comment Brad. If you must know why I spelled it like that it’s because I have been told it is now being called the KRAZR, not the KRZR (people didn’t know to pronounce it correctly). It makes more sense. I was infact the person who let the world know what the "canary" would be called, the KRZR/KRAZR. See here.

I haven’t seen any info pointing to a name change, do you have a reference for that? Oh, by the way, I didn’t mean to sound harsh in my original comment, now that I re-read it I see it could have been taken entirely the wrong way. Sorry about that.

I own an OEM unlocked KRZR, and it is honestly one of the best phones I have owned. I can get over the gloss issues on the front as the phone just plain works.

And Brad, I believe that if you look in the Cingular roadmap that BG posted earlier, you will notice that the Cingular branded KRZR will in fact be called the KRAZR.

So if he is so late, why is he the first one posting them on the net?

    Don’t be a hater Luis.

Please provide links, not baseless comments.

A search of HowardForums with the terms “cingular” + “KRAZR” + “dummy” revealed only one thread, containing one picture, and it was posted the day after The Boy Genius posted his.

I agree with you that it has been on display at CompUSA, but he’s the first one to post them, so yes, he’s got it on lock.

If you need a new phone now, I would recommend just getting the unlocked KRZR. They can be had for under $300 now.

Couldnt of cleaned off your phone before taking pictures of it? Looks like someone just ate a bag of chips and rubbed their greasy fingers all over it. Or they have a severe face oil problem…
