PS3 Bluetooth Makes Me Smile

So I have been spending some quality time looking into the ins and outs of this new PS3 contraption and I have to say that one of nicest things is the complete freedom to choose which headset I want to use as a communicator.  Yup that’s right, you can use ANY Bluetooth headset you want with the console.  All you have to do is put your earpiece in pairing mode, then head over to the settings bar and choose accessory setup.  You pair the 2 just like you would with any cell phone and earpiece, bam! Your off to trash talking bliss.  I had no trouble pairing my Moto H700 with the console. I even had a couple trash talking sessions in Resistance: Fall of Man.  Mmm, 40 player shoot-outs….

That is awesome! Now if only one didn’t have to pay an arm, leg, and part of one’s childs’ college fund to obtain a system…

too bad that because its bluetooth you can only have 7 things paired… that means that if you play with other ppl over only 3 of you can have a head piece??

You really cant play more than one player per console in a multiplayer arena in any game available right now so there really wont be a need for more than 1 headset to be paired up.

Both my SE HBH-602 and my Motorola HT-820 work beautifully with my PS3. I can’t wait until they include A2DP support.

I’m having the same issues with the moto h700. It’s actually not “freezing” the playstation, but interfering with the controller. If you have a mouse hooked up you’ll see the playstation is still going smooth. I guess the h700 has issues since the 1.6 patch came out. I can pair mine but can’t get the mic to work at all. It turns on and off constantly….

Well you need to start by grabbing your Motorola H350 headset and give it to some one to use with your phone as it is crap when it trys pairing with the PS3. Graet when using with a phone though. I think the Jabra headset (try looking for the one they are releasing with Warhawk) or do what im doing buy a USB headset until i know which one will work.
