Unboxing: HTC P4350

I managed to get my hands on a retail version of the HTC P4350 and it doesn’t live up to the hype and expectations. It kills it. We have a hot one on our hands people! From the build quality to the customizations this thing rocks! HTC has included the little app that lets you tap the X to finally close programs instead of needing a 3rd party program. They also added a caps lock light, and a function light so when your caps lock is on, a blue light turns on above the keyboard. Genius, Boy Genius. The slide out keyboard is now on a spring so it makes it a lot easier to flip that QWERTY out to shoot an email, or browse a web page. The device itself is super speedy, and is small. Really small. It has a rubberized finish, think of this as a cross between the HTC S620 and the HTC TyTN. All in all, I am really impressed. Shoutout to my man Stan at E-Gadget Depot for hooking me up (the first one to have these in the US!). Click on for the unboxing ritual.

Glad to hear its speedy. I was wondering if the older slower cpu would be this slick looking devices Achilles heal.

No GPS and only 200Mhz. It is 2007 now, but not not 2005, so why buy it?

according to some, at xda-developers.com, the 200mhz is not slow, because it is setup to run differently than the tytn, think of a car having a 6 cylinder engine 30 years ago, and a car of today having a 6 cylinder engine. Todays engine is the same size, but runs much more efficiently, and turns out way more horsepower.

boygenius would have told us if the phone sucked, he never bs’s, he said that it was “super speedy”

P3600 doesnt have a keyboard. For a device with a slide out keyboard nothing beats the 4350 size wize. Feature wize yeah the TyTN is better but if you don’t need 3G this is really like the perfect device. After getting this 2weeks ago I sold my TyTN I am on T-Mobile so i couldnt even utilize UMTS. But honestly I was skeptical until i recieved mine, its like when u first saw pics of the s620 (excalibur) it didnt blow you away but when u see it in person and feel it in your hand your hooked. The same goes for P4350 you have to see it and use it to understand.
