Continuing in the recent string of Pocket PC’s here at BGR, I present the P4350. Due to be released later this month, the P4350 is a smaller version of the popular HTC TyTn. The only feature this mainstream device lacks is 3G (UMTS, HSDPA) which is a fair tradeoff for some people as its now only 17mm thin. It has a QWERTY keyboard, EDGE, Quad-Band GSM, Windows Pocket PC, 2.0 mega-pixel camera, A2DP, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. Don’t expect this stateside on a carrier anytime soon. Click on for the rest of the shots!

mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn it seems like HTC is toying around with peoples minds and money. Outta all the TyTn variations, this one is the best looking…yet it lacks 3G and UMTS. i’m just waiting for the day i come here and see a device that LOOKS like this one and has 3G, UMTS, Wifi and bluetooth…….only in a perfect world…

This is actually a refresh of the Wizard, not the Tytn. Exact same specs as the Wizard.

Other than no 3G the only other negative I’ve heard is that its using the same CPU as the TyTn and because of that the OS is somewhat sluggish.
Any comment on performance BG?
This device is the best looking HTC phone yet, I may just be drawn away from my 8700 if the price is right.

It’s a refresh of the Wizard, not the Tytn. It’s using the same OMAP CPU used in the Wizard aka the T-Mobile MDA / Cingular 8125. The Tytn has a 400Mhz Samsung ARM CPU, which nice and fast.

I haven’t had a problem with the Tytn’s response time. It’s way better than the MDA’s. I can’t see there being a big difference between the P4350 and the MDA, unless they’ve optimized it more or updated the graphics system.

Nice overall, but no GPS, no nice thumbwheel like on my 8525, and I wonder what battery life is sacrificed for thin-ness.
