My Favorite Unlocking Site

A friend of mine from Engadget put me on to this great website. It’s called GSM Phone Source and they specialize in unlocking a ton of data devices including BlackBerry. They are very well known in the BlackBerry world as the unlock solution. The whole service is extremely easy, all you do is send over your IMEI # and you get back an email that contains your freedom. Most of the time you get the unlock code much faster than the quoted turn around time. GSM Phone Source definitely has a bookmark in my browser! Shoutout to Adam for all his help.

What exactly is unlocking? What does it do besides “a ton of data” ?
Unlocking removes the sim lock that is on your phone. When your phone is locked you can only use it with the sim card from your current gsm provider. When your phone is unlocked you can use your current sim and or any other sim you might want. Very useful if wanting to switch to another carrier and or wanting to travel overseas and use pre-paid sim cards
Thanks Adam.
Ok, 2nd advertisement post in two weeks. 3rd time is the charm to stop reading. Sell a banner. Don’t sell an editorial.
Concur with JUNK!
I agree with JUNK – the not-so-subtle advertising as a posting is annoying. File it under “Blatant Advertising”.
I really don’t understand why you guys feel that way, the posts on unlocking, and lanlogic were done out of support for them because I use those services myself. In no way shape or form were any of those posts “bought”, “paid for” or influenced by anything other than my personal experience. I even bought an unlock code yesterday from adam for $42.99. I mean come on, this is a site for the latest news, scoops and more but at the same time its a personal site for me to call home, and share the things I use and love. Lanlogic delivers amazing email service, I have a dedicated exchange, and BES server with them and have referred probably a 100 people. I have never even got so much as a discount from them on my service! Let alone them “paying for editorial”. I set the standards high here if someone wants to buy a banner great, but that in no shape or form influences posts and never will.

Don’t listen to those assmonkeys. Nothing wrong with extolling the virtues of a service that a) you regularly use and pay for, b) you don’t get any kickbacks from, and c) are good f*cking services.

Go start your own site if you don’t like this one.
Where do these sellers get the unlock codes? You give them your imei and do they look it up from cingular CSR’s?

BG – Your response was classy! People these days somehow feel a false sense of entitlement to things that are FREE and if they dont like what they see or read – they can go somewhere else!! Thanks for all that you post!! – Vasant

PLEASE
http://www.MykleCell.com does remote unlocking from all networks/carrier and devices… and to answer a previous post, you can do it remotely; stay home and save money! Those shops charge an arm and a leg to cover their high overhead expenses.
